Uzor Arukwe was born in Lagos, Nigeria, on August 6, 1983, to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Arukwe, who hail from Abia State, Nigeria. They are 8 children in his family; and in an interview he stated that they were poor, and lived in a kind of building that is associated with poverty.
Uzor attended primary school in Lagos, but was sent to Port Harcourt to attend the Navy Secondary School there. He did well in his studies, and then went to Abia State University, where he studied economics. He then went to the University of Calabar for his Masters.
It was during his secondary school days that he picked up a love for acting, and when he graduated, he started actively going for auditions to find his place in the movie industry.
His first acting role was in the 2000’s in the television series known as Flatmates. However, it was his first movie appearance which in 2014, in the movie titled Unspoken Truth. That movie appearance showcased his talent; and served as a spring board with which he launched his career in Nollywood.
From there on his career as an actor really took off; he got many roles pouring in, and established himself as an actor of repute.
