DON’T MISS: BUK Post UTME Screening Form Is Out
The danger of offering a non NUC (Nigerian University Commission) accredited course is enormous because the penalty involves the student changing his or her course or department or advised to leave the school in some cases.
To be eligible to study any of the courses on the list of courses offered in BUK, candidates are required to pass the cut off mark of the university firstly before going for BUK internal screening exercise and upon successfully crossing that stage, an automatic admission is sure for the candidate. See below, BUK general admission requirements for candidates;
Bayero University, Kano (BUK) Admission Requirements For All Courses:
a) Firstly, to study at BUK, candidate must be at least eighteen (18) years of age in the year of admission.
b) In addition to the above, you will be required to score of to BUK’s minimum JAMB cut off mark to be eligible to apply
c) As for WAEC and NECO requirements, Candidates are expected to posses a minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes in all relevant subjects which must include English Language and mathematics at GCE O’Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than 2 sittings.
d) Furthermore, candidates applying with Teacher’s Grade II, Credit or Merit in conjunction with credit passes in their O’Level in relevant subjects at GCE, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents may be considered though no subject may be counted at both TC II and GCE O/Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents.
Meeting the above requirements means, candidates become automatically eligible for post UTME screening exercise at Bayero University Kano (BUK) at their main campus in Kano state.
So with the above information, prospective candidates should be clear as regards the requirements for the list of courses offered in Bayero University Kano (BUK).
