Lagos State University (LASU) Indigeneship Verification Exercise 2025/2026 Session – Application Guide

All candidates that are originally from Lagos state, who participated in the 2025/2026 UTME and selected LASU as their first choice of institution and scored at least 185 and above are hereby informed that the registration for indigeneship verification exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Admission exercise shall commence come Monday 19^th September, 2025 until Friday, 14^th October, 2025. The verification interview will start on Monday, 26^th September, 2025.

Please be informed that the indigeneship verification exercise does not in any way guarantee or serve as a proof of admission into the Lagos State University.

The portal will be open from Monday the 19^th of September, 2025 and close Friday 14^th October, 2025.

Schedule of Screening Exercise

First phase, Monday 26^th – Thursday, 29^th September, 2025.

Second phase, Monday 3^rd – Thursday 6^th October, 2025.

Third phase, Monday 10^th – Thursday 13^th October, 2025

Forth phase, Monday 17^th – Thursday 20^th October, 2025

Mop up, Monday, 24^th – Thursday, 27^th October, 2025.

Application Guide for LASU Indigeneship Verification Exercise

Candidates are to make payment to Lagos State University Account online through lasu.edu.ng/iive

STEP 1 – Enter your JAMB Registration Number and other required details to proceed. Candidates for Revalidation need not apply again.

IMPORTANT INFO

1. Kindly be informed that only candidates who are indigenes of Lagos state are eligible for screening.
2. Candidates in this category are expected to be cleared by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) before being considered for admission.
3. Old applicants for 2025/2026 and 2025/2026 academic session that have not been offered admission will only revalidate their Indigeneship Clearance Certificates (ICC) online @ lasu.edu.ng
4. All Direct Entry (DE) applicants who are of Lagos state origin are to participate in this indigeneship verification exercise before they can be considered for admission.
