LASU Admission Exercise 2023: Clearance Exercise for Fresh Students Announced

The management of Lagos State University has announced after a meeting was held at the Babatunde Raji Fashola building, Ojo Campus, reached a conclusion that the central online clearance for newly admitted candidates will commence from Friday, March 31, 2023, and the portal will close on Friday, April 14, 2023.

The meeting, which had in attendance members of the clearance committee, including members of the university management,  deans, faculty officers and staff of the ICT and Admissions Office, was chaired by the vice chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni.

Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, in her address to the members said all hands must be on deck to enforce a swift and seamless clearance for fresh students, insisting that henceforth, freshers must get their matriculation number from their first day in the university.

The VC further stated that the flow of clearance exercise will begin with the students submitting their data using the LACACA platform. The ICT will then clear the student, followed by the responsible faculty officer, to the responsible dean of faculty and finally to the vice chancellor.

Payment Procedure for LASU Online Clearance Fees:

STEP 1 – Visit the LASU e-payment portal at lasu.edu.ng/epayment

STEP 2 – Click “NAIRA PAYMENT”

STEP 3 – Select your admission type: “UNDERGRADUATE (FULL-TIME) NEWLY ADMITTED 2023/2024 SESSION” or “UNDEGRADUATE (STREAM 2) NEWLY ADMITTED 2023/2024 SESSION” for Stream 1 and Stream 2 respectively.

STEP 4 – Provide your JAMB Registration Number in the field labelled “Matric/Application/Unique/UTME Number”

STEP 5 – Choose “UNDERGRADUATE LACACA” from the drop-down menu labelled “Choose Payment”

STEP 6 – Select “NAIRA” from the drop-down menu labelled “Payment Currency”

STEP 7 – Click Continue

STEP 8 – Provide a valid email address and phone number

STEP 9 – Choose the payment amount

STEP 10 – Click Next

How To Complete the LACACA Operation

STEP 1 – Visit the LASU website at https://www.lasu.edu.ng

STEP 2 – Point to the STUDENT Tab and click on UG LACACA

STEP 3 – Enter your UTME registration number and surname, then click Submit

STEP 4 – Complete the following tasks on the dashboard: a. Validate your basic bio-data details b. Verify your disability status c. Upload your O’Level scratch card details d. Upload your original birth certificate e. Upload your original UTME Results f. Upload your original JAMB Admission Letter g. Upload a scanned copy of your signature h. Submit the application by checking the “I Agree” text box and clicking on Submit

STEP 5 – At this point, your Admission Clearance progress will be at 20% while the documents are reviewed by dedicat5d university officials

STEP 6 – Keep an eye on your Admission Clearance progress and address any issues that may arise based on your uploaded documents

STEP 7 – If there are any errors that require correction, you will need to pay for these corrections on the LASU payment portal at https://www.lasu.edu.ng/epayment

STEP 8 – Once you’ve reached 100% clearance progress, you can print your LASU Admission Clearance Certificate for the 2023/2024 Academic Session and receive your Matriculation Number

Rejected students are advised to check their portal and note the reason for rejection. Some might need to visit the Admission Office on 3rd Floor, Senate Building, Main Campus, Ojo, for further guidance.
