The fees payable at Imo State University as seen in the table below includes acceptance fee and tuition fee for freshers full time students
All newly admitted students of Imo State University are to take note of the following:
A) IMSU’s acceptance fee is to be paid first upon admission into the university, this is a process applicable in all universities, colleges of education and polytechnics in Nigeria, be it Federal or state poly. It serves as a proof of acceptance of the provisional admission from JAMB.
Late payment of IMSU’s freshers school fees for both indigenes and non-indigenes would attract extra charges and failure to pay the fees on time could lead to the student’s inability to seat for their semester examination or forfeiture of admission as approved by the management of the institution.
Talking about IMSU’s school fees for 2025/2026 session, we are going to give you in details all other fees and levies which includes examination fee, developmental fee, students ID cards, handbooks medical fee and the likes. It is a comprehensive school fee structure of the university.
Though judging from the total tuition fees for IMSU, some might argue about how expensive it is but be rest assured that this fee is just for 100 level only so as students progress into higher levels as stated below under the category of Imo state University (IMSU) school fees structure for returning students.

Your closest chance is Nursing or Optometry even though your chances are not high. You need to score a really high mark in your post UTME to give you better chances of being admitted. Med and Surg is off your reach.

Some schools would swap literature for English, I’m not very sure about that at IMSU. Literature in English is an important requirements for studying Law. So at the end it all depends on the IMSU.

So sorry. 167 is not up to IMSU’s JAMB cut off mark for 2018/19. You could consider open university if you don’t mind. Their application form is out. You do not need JAMB as a requirement for admission
