This is to inform the general public that the Federal University of Technology Owerri has established a Cisco Academy on campus to train high-level skilled manpower for the ICT-based Industries through a University-Industry-based collaboration. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into FUTO Cisco Certification Training Scholarship Programme for 2025/2026 Session.
The programme has been specifically designed to make available, opportunities for undergraduates or candidates who have a first degree or post-graduate degree to acquire hands-on practical industry skills in computer networking, security, embedded system programming, etc.
In addition, science and engineering students who are due for short duration industrial training will also find this programme very useful and upon completion of the training programme, the candidates will be awarded CISCO Academy certificate and they will be qualified to sit for Cisco international certifications to enhance their employability.
Additionally, post-graduate students will have access to state-of-the-art resources for research and entrepreneurs may acquire the necessary skills for the establishment of small scale enterprises.
Admission Requirements
Candidates with or without Bachelor’s degree in any engineering field, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics/Statistics, Physics, Science Laboratory Technology or any other related field are eligible.
Duration of Programme
The training programme will run for just 2-Calendar months with intensive modular lecture delivery approach.

Training Fee
Training Fee of Thirty thousand naira (N30,000) shall be paid into FUTO Microfinance Account (FMFB) number: 1100026961.
Closing Date for Submission of Forms
All completed application forms must be returned to the Cisco Academy Administration on or before Monday, November 25, 2021.
Note that the 2025/2026 session has begun, the first five (5) persons shall receive 100% Scholarship on the Training Fee for CCNA-1.
