The management and school authority has released the school fees of the University of Calabar (UNICAL). There were rumours of a proposed hike in school fees which was previously rumored as being false however, on the contrary, the school authority has announced a slight increase UNICAL school fees for fresh and returning students for the 2025/2026 academic session. Other fees upwardly reviewed are the acceptance fee (fresh students only), late registration fee, portal charges amongst others.

We have tabulated University of Calabar, UNICAL School fees schedule 2025/2026 academic session for all courses in this post for both freshers and returning students.
Just like most state and Federal universities, University of Calabar, UNICAL School fees reduces as students go higher in levels, so students are therefore advised to read through to get all vital information needed in paying their fees on time.
Late payment would attract extra charges of 5,000 Naira (an upward review from the previous 3,000 naira) and failure to pay the fees on time would lead to the student inability to seat for their semester examination.

Procedures on How To Pay UNICAL School Fees for Fresh and Returning Students
STEP 1: Both fresh and returning students are to log on to the portal using their JAMB Registration Number (Freshers) or Matric Number (Returning students)
STEP 2: You are to generate your bill and print afterwards
STEP 3: Check for the list of Banks and select the bank assigned to your course
STEP 4: Visit the bank closest to you and complete payment via e-Transact Platform
STEP 5: Collect bank payment slip which contain payment details and confirmation order number
STEP 6: Re-login to your portal to log on with your Registration Number or Matric Number and type in your BILL NUMBER (located on your bill) on the next page to enable you gain access to the portal
With the above steps, you can easily pay your tuition fee without the help of a third party. Remember you are not to give cash to any so called agent or lecturer to assist in paying your school fees. All fee payments are to be carried out via UNICAL’s portal.
Many are of the opinion that fees must be changed yearly, kindly note that fees are reviewed either upwardly or downwards, though there have been very rare cases where school fees were reduced. UNICAL tuition fee for fresh students remains the same, returning students also known as old students are also to pay the same amount that was paid in the previous session.

You do not register courses with payments in UNICAL. Once you are registered and paid your fees, your details enable you login to the portal for registration of courses. Pay your hostel accommodation fee, it is first come first serve basis.
