This is to inform the general public and newly admitted students that UI resumption date for fresh and returning students 2023/2024 academic session has now been announced
This announcement is coming after the calling off of the 8 months strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
The meeting was held yesterday (13th October, 2022) at the University of Abuja to deliberate on if the strike should continue or suspended pending when all signed agreements have been met. The meeting however was preceded by congressional voting by all ASUU branches nationwide which at the end, over 90% voted in support of calling off the strike.

UI RESUMPTION DATE FOR FRESH AND RETURNING STUDENTS
Based on the above, the management has announced that students resume for the academic session on 24th October, 2023.
Details of the revised Academic Calendar will be published soon.
