UI Resumption Date For Fresh And Returning Students 2025/2026 Session Announced

This is to inform the general public and newly admitted students that UI resumption date for fresh and returning students 2025/2026 academic session has now been announced

A general meeting was held by University Management, headed by the Vice-Chancellor, on behalf of Senate with the leadership of the Students Union on Friday, 30th August, 2024.

The meeting was successful and thus approved three (3) weeks break for students of the University of Ibadan, with effect from Saturday, 31 August, 2024 to 20 September, 2024. The hostels will be reopened for students from 12 noon on Friday, 20 September, 2024.

Students are, therefore, to note the following:

1. The three weeks is to give students ample time to complete their online registration.
2. The 2023-2024 first semester examinations will now start on Monday, 23 September, 2024.
3. The portal for registration will be closed on Friday, 20 September, 2024.
4. There will be no re-opening of the portal for fee payment or course registration after 20 September, 2024.
5. Students who do not register appropriately will not be allowed to write examinations
6. All students are to vacate the University Campus latest by 2.00pm on Saturday, 31 August, 2024.

UI RESUMPTION DATE FOR FRESH AND RETURNING STUDENTS

The university management hereby informs all students that the University will resume normal academic activities with effect from 20th January, 2025.
