Ijagun, Ogun State – Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Nigeria’s first university of education, is celebrating its 20th anniversary, marking two decades of excellence in teaching, research, and community service.
Established by the Ogun State Government on January 29, 2005, and formally approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC) on November 28, 2005, TASUED holds the distinction of being the first university of education in Nigeria, the second in Africa, and the eighth in the world. Since its transition from the former Tai Solarin College of Education, the institution has continued to set the standard for teacher education and academic innovation.

To commemorate this landmark anniversary, the university has lined up a series of activities, starting with the following events:
