Just like Queens College, King’s College Lagos tuition fees for new students into Junior Secondary School 1 (JSS1) and Senior Secondary school one (SS1) is also free FREE, though there are other fees and charges that are required by parents and Guardians to pay upon their Ward’s admission into the school.

King’s College Lagos falls under the category of UNITY Schools since it is a federal government college, and managed by the Federal Ministry of Education. It would be worthy to note that all Federal Govt Colleges are classified under the term unity schools so if you are familiar with post primary school education (secondary schools in Lagos) you should be familiar with King’s College Yaba Lagos.

King’s and Queens College till date stands as one of the most popular secondary schools in Lagos and Nigeria as a whole and being a Federal government school, the slot for admission is always surpassed yearly, this is due to its standard of education, the prestige of being associated with the school and of course, the free tuition fees.


Please note that the newly admitted students, that is, JSS 1, their fees are generally more than students in Junior Secondary School 2 (JSS 2) reason being that they would be required to pay additional fees for the following underlined items:

Parents and Guardians are to take note of the following requirements for Admission Into KC (King’s College Lagos):

A) First and foremost, Candidates must be at least 11 Years of age and maximum of 17 years for him to be eligible for admission into King’s College

B) Candidates must pass the common entrance examination

C) Also, candidates would be required to write an Essay on why he chooses to apply for admission into King’s College Lagos (KC) and are further shortlisted by merit into the school by the Federal ministry of Education.

KC Lagos School Fees For Fresh Students 2025/2026 Session

  • Name of Service/Purpose: → Select Unity Colleges (Fees).

  • State: → Lagos.

Step 3: Enter Student Information

  • Fill in the student’s full name, admission number (if available), and class.

  • Indicate the session/term you are paying for.

Step 4: Confirm Amount

  • Input the correct amount according to the breakdown given by the school (e.g., JS1 Boarding ₦65,000, JS2 Boarding ₦45,500, etc.).

  • Double-check to avoid errors.

Step 5: Generate RRR (Remita Retrieval Reference)

  • After filling in the details, generate an RRR code.

  • Print or save the RRR slip.

  • Online: Pay instantly with your ATM card (Debit/Credit card) or through your Internet Banking platform.

  • Bank Branch: Take the printed RRR slip to any commercial bank in Nigeria and make payment over the counter.

Step 7: Print Payment Receipt

  • After payment, return to the Remita website and confirm the transaction using the RRR.

  • Print the Remita Payment Receipt.

Step 8: Submit Proof of Payment

  • Submit a copy of your receipt to the school’s bursary department or upload it on the official school portal (if required).

  • Keep an extra copy for your own records.

  1. Payments must be made through Remita – the Federal Government’s official payment platform.

  2. Do not pay fees to individuals or unofficial bank accounts.

  3. Boarding and day students have different fee totals. Confirm the exact amount before generating your RRR.
