Writing JAMB is a phase, but going through the process of changing your course and institution through JAMB is another hurdle.
In the course of JAMB registration, many of us tend to put our initial course of study but upon the release of JAMB results, then a need on to change courses or institution become necessity judging from your inability to meet up the cut-off mark of your course required to land you admission in your preferred institution.
The good news is that we have been able to get the step by step approach on how to change of course and Institution at JAMB office for 2025/2026 academic session.
JAMB Change of course and Institution: How To Change Courses and Institution
Changing your course or institution from JAMB office or any CBT centre closest to you has been made simple, in less than 1 hr a candidate should be done. See the steps to be taken for changing of courses or institution (Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education)
Step 1: visit your CBT centre (the one closest to you or most probably, the CBT centre your JAMB exam was conducted
Step 2: Generate your (Remitta Retrieval Reference) RRR Code, please note that it is free
Step 3: Take your (Remitta Retrieval Reference) RRR Code to the bank, you will be required to pay 2500 Naira, upon payment, you will be given a slip containing details of your transaction ID.
Step 4: Kindly take the slip to either of the centres below and your change of course and Institution would be processed, upon being processed, JAMB then approves and send your detail to the university or polytechnic you changed to.

Law requires a high cut off mark. You need to score up to 280 and above to stand a good chance of studying the course

Hi. Sometimes it takes 3 weeks to a month. Just be patient. The school you are changing it to will get a confirmation and will have it in their database so you don’t have to worry. Keep checking Bro.

Even if you change to UNILORIN, have it in mind that you still won’t be given admission to study Mass Communication with 193 UTME score.

I would advise you change your course because there is no way you can study Medicine in Bayero University Kano with a UTME score of 185. Even changing to Microbiology is still not a guarantee.

You can do a change of course following the link provided on this post. You can gain admission into either UNIBEN or AAU Ekpoma but i am not sure of you getting admission to study Biochem, if your post UTME is good you could be given another course.

Yea you are eligible for post UTME so long as you score 180 and above in your JAMB score. But I cannot guarantee you would be offered admission to study Nursing. Maybe a very good post UTME score would go a long way. Best of luck sis

Your JAMB score of 191 is not good enough to grant you admission into any federal or state university in Nigeria, if you work harder in your post UTME you could be given another course of study

whichever institution you are planning to change to. That’s OAU. But at this point, i would advice you do the change of institution in the CBT centre your daughter wrote her JAMB. It is faster and less stressful

The truth is your daughter stands a higher chance of gaining admission to study Medicine at LASU than OAU because OAU’s cut off Mark is 200 while LASU is 180.
Procedures on how to generate remita code for payment
The first step to accomplishing this, is by visiting the application page of your institution.
Once the portal is ready, proceed and there you will see Make Payment On Remita Link – click on it..
Then click on “Pay with Remita”.
When you have done step 3 successfully, you are required to proceed and click on the ‘Submit and Generate Remita Payment Reference Button (RRR)’.
Once you have generated the Remita Payment Reference button, write down the displayed Payment Reference Number (RRR).
Go to Any Commercial Bank Branch to Make Payment.
After you have made a successful payment, go to the applicant Login Page and Login with Your Username and Password.
