IAUE Admission Screening Guidelines and Procedures 2025/2026 Academic Session

The Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port Harcourt, is set to conduct its 2025/2026 admission screening exercise using a hybrid approach via the Post-UTME/DE Screening System. All prospective candidates are invited to the Rumuolumeni Main Campus for a comprehensive process involving O’level/A’level certificate verification, data screening, score ranking, and mandatory biometric validation. Below are the key details and procedures:

IAUE 2025/2026 Screening Modalities

1. No Additional Post-UTME Test: Admission will be based entirely on JAMB UTME scores for all candidates. Direct Entry (DE) candidates will be evaluated using their uploaded documents, which must be verified via the Nigerian Integrated Post-Secondary Data System (NIPEDS).
2. Data Screening: Candidates’ details, as provided through JAMB’s Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) and uploaded to the University portal, will be thoroughly reviewed.
3. Course Reassignment: Candidates with high UTME scores but lower rankings may be reassigned to alternative courses to facilitate admission. Such candidates must meet the required UTME and O’level subject combinations per the JAMB Integrated Brochure and Syllabus System (IBASS) and the departmental cut-off marks.
4. Screening Invitation: Candidates will receive a personalized screening schedule via their registered email, detailing the date, venue, and additional requirements.

Screening Requirements

Candidates must attend in person for biometric verification and present the following:

• JAMB Result Slip
• O’level result (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB)
• Post-UTME Registration Slip from the University portal
• Printed copy of the email invitation
• For DE Candidates: A’level results (e.g., NCE, ND, NABTEB, JUPEB, IJMB, HND, 1st Degree, Cambridge A’level, or International GCE A-level). Post-screening, DE candidates must verify their certificates on NIPEDS.
• Candidates must be neatly dressed with well-groomed hair. Inappropriate behavior will lead to automatic disqualification.

Candidate Responsibilities

1. Monitor Admission Status: Regularly check your admission status on the JAMB portal to make necessary updates, such as:
   • Changing your course for proper ranking, if required.
   • Correcting data inaccuracies within the stipulated timeframe.
2. Notifications: Updates will be sent via secure text messages or email and confirmed on the University’s official website and social media platforms. Candidates are responsible for using valid, personal phone numbers and email addresses during registration, as duplicates are not permitted.
3. Stay Informed: Regularly visit the University’s website and social media for updates. The University is not liable for any deception or scams resulting from failure to follow these instructions.

Candidates with Awaiting Results

Candidates awaiting O’level or A’level results should upload their results to the University portal as soon as they are available and visit the Admissions Unit for physical screening. DE candidates must also ensure their A’level results are verified on NIPEDS.

• Dates: Monday, August 18, 2025, to Tuesday, August 26, 2025
• Venue: Information and Communications Technology Centre (ICTC), Rumuolumeni Campus, Port Harcourt, Rivers State
• Time: 8:00 a.m. daily
