The management of the school of part time studies is receiving application from suitably qualified candidates for admission into EKSU part time degree programmes.
Many individuals are shying from Part time programmes simply because of the mindset they have developed over the years which is; Part Time students are not allowed to enroll for the NYSC scheme and that the degree awarded to part time is different from that UTME regular students and therefore employers give less credence to the part time degree.
First and foremost, EKSU part time admission form is available on the school’s portal and the PT programme is internally organized and funded by the school without Government’s input however, the programme must be duly approved by the NUC even before its final kick off so it is normal for them to be excluded from the NYSC scheme.
Secondly, the idea of having a different degree from the regular students is totally absurd, for your information, your certificate will not state whether it is part time or full time degree programme, rather it would only show whether it is a Honours or not.
Also, EKSU Part-Time Programmes are supervised by the relevant and cognate Faculties and Departments in the regular programmes of the University and the courses are taught by the same set of lecturers who take the full time courses as approved by the University Senate so you would agree with me because there is no spotting difference in comparison between the part time and full time programmes.
Nowadays, candidates who for one reason or the other could not gain admission via UTME into EKSU opt in for part time admission form in order not to waste years sitting at home. The difference between both is simply 1 year, that is, if a UTME course is 4 years, the part time duration for that same would would be 5 years. How to Apply for EKSU Part Time Admission Form
EKSU part-time admission form is N17,100
Step 1 – Go to eksuportal.eksu.edu.ng
Step 2 – Click on ‘ADMISSION’, you will be directed to Online application portal.
Step 3 – Sign up’ by providing all the requirement details to create an account. MAKE SURE YOU PROVIDE YOUR ACTIVE EMAIL AND PERSONAL PHONE NUMBER. A verification mail will be sent to you.
Step 4 – After successful sign up, click LOGIN to log on to your dashboard. Applicants are to login using their CORRECT Email as ‘username’ and enter password as provided while signing up.
Step 5 – On your dashboard, select the type of application; e.g DIRECTORATE OF PART TIME PROGRAMMES 2025/2026, click on ‘APPLY’
Step 6 – The next page requires DIRECTORATE OF PART TIME PROGRAMMES, click on ‘PAY NOW’ to redirect you for payment.
Step 7 – On successful payment, the application form will be opened. Attach your “I x I” coloured passport photograph with red background in JPEG format only on the form page.
Step 8 – Upload details of your O’level result(s) obtained at not more than two (2) sittings at the following examinations; WAEC/SSCE, NECO and NABTEB.
Step 9 – After undergoing the above procedure, preview, confirm and submit it. Print out the completed screening form which is to be submitted at Ekiti State University, Ifaki Ekiti.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
- The O’Level requirements for all courses are to be obtained at not more than two sittings.
- All advertised programmes run on PART-TIME basis i.e. on Weekends and Weekdays except for B.Sc. Computer Science that runs on Weekdays only.
EKSU PT Admission Form Deadline
EKSU PT form closing date is 31st August, 2025. Any candidate that fails to submit on or before the closing date will be automatically disqualified.
