After a plenary meeting by the senate of the University of Benin, it has been concluded that a mid-semester break is necessary. The management hereby informs all students of the university that a mid semester break for the 2025/2026 Academic Session commences on Thursday 20th February, 2020 until Sunday 12th April, 2020.
Going by the UNIBEN’s academic calendar for 2025/2026 session it was included as part of the activities for the session hence must be observed. Also, the mid semester break is for refurbishing of hostels, and other beatifications as other schools will be visiting for the 2020 National Sports Festival which will be hosted by the University of Benin.
The management has advised that students who would be traveling to their various destinations take caution and continue to abide by the laws of the land.
The management further stated that all hostels in UNIBEN shall be vacated with the exception of CERHI hostel.
Furthermore, the NDDC hostel will be made available for two weeks in order for Medical, Clinical and Nursing students to complete their exams after which the hostel shall be vacated immediately for the completing of maintenance work.
