Yobe State University (YSU) has released the official JAMB cut off mark applicable for all courses offered in the institution for 2023/2024 academic session.
This is the approved JAMB cut off mark for any candidate that sat for 2023/2024 UTME. Any student that scores up to the minimum required cut off mark as seen below automatically becomes eligible to sit for the forthcoming post UTME/internal screening exercise.
Kindly note that your JAMB score is only applicable for 2023/2024 admission year after which the JAMB score becomes null and void and of no effect.
May we remind you once more that only candidates who scored up to the minimum cut off mark and those who score above all have equal eligibility status to sit for YSU post UTME aptitude test and only successful candidates would be called upon.
Also, note that beating the JAMB and post UTME cut off mark does not imply automatic admission into Yobe State University (YSU) as this depends on the quota for each department.
Every department has a quota, so usually, admission is based on merit which means that despite passing your post UTME you still have the best to compete with.
The summary of the above is, the higher your JAMB and post UTME scores, the better your chances of gaining admission into YSU.
After the above, candidates are to wait for admission list to be released and if successful, candidates would be required to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee.

Candidates should note that the benefits of scoring above YSU JAMB cut off mark for 2023/2024 academic session is that it affords candidates a much higher chances of clinching admission to study their chosen course.
Documents required for Internal screening at YSU include;
A) Original copy of JAMB admission letter, duly printed.
B) Candidates applying for admission into Yobe State University must have a minimum of 5 credits in Mathematics and English and other relevant subjects as it relates to his or her course of study in not more than two (2) sittings to be eligible to sit for their post UTME screening aptitude test.
C) Original and photocopies of candidate’s JAMB result slip
D) Original documents which includes ‘O’ level certificates please note that awaiting results are not accepted by YSU except via special consideration which would only be at the discretion of the university.
E) YSU would also require original copy of your birth certificate or birth declaration whichever is available.
F) Candidates are also to carry along with them recent passport photographs (Coloured)
