This is to inform all fresh and returning students of University of Port Harcourt that the management of the institution has announced the resumption date for fresh and returning students via the recently published academic calendar for the academic session.
According to the management, returning students are to resume exactly two weeks after the resumption of fresh students. This is the norm practiced in most schools. This would give fresh students the needed time to bond register with ease knowing-fully that they (fresh students) are still new to the system.
The academic activities for the 2025/2026 academic session has been designed to run for a period of 4 months approximately. All academic and non academic activities have been scheduled to take place within the 4 months period.
UNIPORT RESUMPTION DATE FOR FRESH AND RETURNING STUDENTS
The university management hereby inform all newly admitted students of the 2025/2026 academic session that by the approved Academic Calendar for the session, Pre-Resumption Registration for Fresh Students begins on Monday, 2nd December, 2024. While deadline for payment of charges is Friday 10th January, 2025.
In the light of the above dates, candidates are advised to begin their registration processes immediately as registration will end on Friday 10th January, 2025.
Please note that candidates who do not conclude their registration cannot be issued with Matriculation Numbers and students without Matriculation Numbers will not be allowed to write their examinations.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Payment of school fees and all compulsory registrations for fresh and returning students would kick off immediately upon resumption.
If there are adjustments in to UNIPORT resumption date for 2025/2026 academic session, the management will duly inform us and I shall make changes where necessary.
