UNIPORT Pre-degree Admission Form for 2020/2021 Academic Session Out

UNIPORT pre-degree admission form for 2020/2021 academic session is out. The management of the university predegree programme has announced that applications are now being received from suitably qualified candidates, for admission into any of the following one year Pre-degree programmes in the Faculties of Humanities and Education for the 2020/2021 Session.

To be eligible for UNIPORT pre-degree programme, you must meet the following admission requirements for the programme. Below are the O’Level requirements as well as the subject combination for all available programmes.

PRE-DEGREE REGISTRATION DATE

All interested candidates are to apply online through UNIPORT pre-degree portal. Online application commences from Monday 20th July, 2020 and closes 27th November 2020.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • The Programme is open to applicants with a minimum of five (5) Credits in not more than two sittings in English Language and other relevant subjects [in GCE, SSCE, NECO, NABTEB & TC II (TC II is applicable for applicants for Faculty of Education)].
  • Candidates should possess WASC/SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB Ordinary Level with credit passes in 5 relevant subjects. See the list of subjects below for details.
  • O’ Level Subjects: English Language, Literature in English, CRK/IRK, Economics, Geography, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Agric. Science, Physics, A Nigerian Language (Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba),Fine Arts, History or Government, French, Further Mathematics, Music.

DURATION OF PROGRAMME

The Programme is for a period of one year (one academic session).

HOW TO APPLY FOR UNIPORT PRE-DEGREE ADMISSION FORM 

STEP 1: Applicants are to sign up

STEP 1: Print out Payment Slip

STEP 1: Pay online or Proceed to any of the following Banks with Remita platform. A fee of Eighteen Thousand Naira only (N18,000.00), including bank charges is required. (ACCESS BANK PLC, ECOBANK PLC, FIDELITY BANK PLC, FIRST BANK PLC,FCMB, UBA PLC, AND UNIPORT-CHOBA MICROFINANCE BANK) and make payment according to their departmental schedule .

STEP 1: Obtain a Remita receipt showing an Access Code from the Bank Teller confirming the payment.

STEP 1: Proceed back online and Login with your username, email or phone number

STEP 1: Ensure to register with a valid email and phone number.

To transit to the Degree Programme, in addition to the required 5 Credits, the candidate must

  1. PASS THE PRESCRIBED PRE-DEGREE EXAMINATIONS
  2. HAVE THE APPROPRIATE UNIFIED TERTIARY MATRICULATION EXAMINATION (UTME) SUBJECT COMBINATION AND
  3. HAVE THE INSTITUTIONAL MINIMUM CUT-OFF IN THE 2020/2021 UTME AND MUST HAVE CHOSEN THE UNIVERSITY OF PORT HARCOURT
