UNIBEN hostel accommodation fee for both fresh and returning student is now available for most especially fresh and final year students. The management of University of Benin gives priority to both 100 level and final year students before students in 200 level, 300 level or 400 level as the case may be, will be considered. This is because it helps freshers to settle in easily and plan for a new phase of life, easy access to fellow new students, materials, tutorials and lecture halls and this is based on first come first serve basis. The University of Benin hostel accommodation for students is conducive for students. Though UNIBEN hostel accommodation fee varies from hostel to hostel. I will list the hostel fees below so it is up to you to decide if you are going to be interested in making use of the school hostel or renting a room outside the UNIBEN campus. Please note that hostel accommodation in UNIBEN is not compulsory. However, it is advised that fresh students especially stay within the school campus at least in their first year.
Please note that UNIBEN school fees, Acceptance fee and hostel accommodation fee are compulsory fee every new student are to pay upon gaining admission, though hostel accommodation fee is not a compulsory fee but an important one for freshers aside from the fact it cost benefits implications, the benefits as listed above should be taken into consideration.
UNIBEN HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION FEE 2024/2025 ACADEMIC SESSION
Below is the hostel accommodation fee for all hostels in UNIBEN. The hostel accommodation is for both fresh and returning students for 2024/2025 academic session.

HOW TO APPLY FOR UNIBEN ACCOMMODATION FEE 2024/2025 SESSION
On how to apply for UNIBEN hostel accommodation fee, newly admitted students are to follow the steps below:
Step 1 – Log into your student online record.
Step 2 – Under Accommodation, Select Particular Hall of Interest.
Step 3 – Under Payments, Create Bed Allocation ticket. Make payment using any valid ATM card from you Student Profile. Do NOT make payment directly on the Remita website since it has no way of linking back directly to your profile
Step 4 – If desired Hostel is any of Hall 1, 2, 3, 4. or Ekenwan Campus undergraduate Hostels . Go ahead and directly book your particular space using the activation code (HOS-… ) on your payment slip,
Step 5 – If desired Hostel is any of Hall 5 6, 7, Keystone, NDDC, Clinicl. etc. Your assigned space from Student Affairs will be uploaded WHERE available.
Step 6 – Those assigned spaces from Student Affairs also need to use their booking code in order to view the space assigned to them.
Step 7 – Immediately proceed to pay the relevant Hostel Maintenance fee assigned to your allocated space, upon successful booking.
Please Note that all allocated spaces not paid for will be released back to circulation after 48 hours.
For the avoidance of doubt, Note that allocated spaces will be retrieved and become available for others to book after 2 days (48 hrs) of not paying Hostel maintenance fee.
Step 8 – Print out relevant Slips to use for clearance into the Halls of Residence.
Any Student allocated a space in the reserved halls, is also expected to go ahead and book with their activation code and to Immediately proceed to pay the relevant Hostel Maintenance fee assigned to your allocated space, within 48 hrs, upon successful booking.
- Students that require space in any of the reserved halls should submit their payment slip to student affairs.
- Bed space allocation will be on ‘FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS’ as hostel accommodation is limited.
