The management of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina (UMYU) wishes to notify the general public that the National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted approval for the establishment of fifteen (15) new undergraduate programmes in the institution.

Call for Applications
Applicants interested in any of the above-listed courses are invited to register and participate in the Second Post-UTME Aptitude Test.
The invitation also extends to:
-
Candidates who missed the first Post-UTME screening exercise, and
-
Applicants wishing to apply for any of the existing programmes of the university.
However, the following courses are not included in this phase of the test:
Agriculture, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Education & Computer Science, Environmental Management, International Relations, Law, Library and Information Science, Medicine & Surgery, and Microbiology.
Eligibility Criteria

Only candidates who selected Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina as their first choice in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored the minimum departmental cut-off marks are eligible to apply.

Candidates must also possess the appropriate UTME subject combinations for their chosen programmes.

Registration Details

Registration Period: Saturday, 11th October 2025 to Friday, 17th October 2025.

Aptitude Test Date: Saturday, 18th October 2025.
Documents to Upload
During registration, applicants are to upload clear copies of the following:

2025 JAMB Result Slip
-
O’Level Result(s)
-
Valid Means of Identification (such as Indigene Certificate, National ID, or International Passport)
Candidates awaiting their O’Level results may also apply.
Payment Procedure
Eligible candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of ₦2,000 (inclusive of all charges) through the payment options provided on the university’s Post-UTME Portal.
All applicants should print and bring their payment receipts along to the test venue.
Important Notice

Candidates identified by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) as having special needs are exempted from taking the Post-UTME test. Such applicants should, however, submit hard copies of their credentials to the Registrar’s Office.
