Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN), Oron post UTME and Direct Entry form for 2025/2026 academic session is out and applications are being received for admission into MAN undergraduate degree programmes. Take note of the dates below as a guide for the 2025/2026 post utme screening exercise. The management further opined that it would give special consideration to their pre-degree students as approved by the senate.
The post UTME forms are for candidates who either selected Maritime Academy of Nigeria – MAN as their preferred choice of institution during the 2025/2026 UTME registration or changed their institutions to MAN using JAMB change of course and institution form.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
- MAN’s post UTME will be computer based test format.
- Kindly be informed that all eligible candidates are required to pay the sum of Two thousand Naira (N2,000) only for MAN post UTME form.
- Please note that only suitably qualified candidates are eligible to apply for the post UTME form. Kindly see below for MAN post UTME eligibility requirements.
- MAN post UTME screening test date will be obtained from the print out upon completion of your MAN post UTME form online.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
1. ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES
Candidates who selected Maritime Academy of Nigeria as their First (1st) Choice Institution in the 2024 UTME and scored above the required cut-off mark as stated in (2) below are eligible for post-UTME registration.
2. UTME CUT-OFF MARKS
- Nautical Science – 170
- Marine Engineering – 170
- Electrical/Electronic Engineering – 170
- Maritime Transport and Business Studies – 160
3. MODES OF CORRESPONDENCE
Candidates seeking admission into the Maritime Academy of Nigeria must have a functional and accessible electronic mail (e-mail) address and mobile phone number for correspondence. Candidates are not required to present themselves physically except on invitation through the Website Publication and e-mail/text messages.
4.O-LEVEL SUBJECTS AND UTME SUBJECTS COMBINATION
A: ND Nautical Science
1) O/Level Subjects
Applicants must possess Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or its equivalent with at least FIVE (5) CREDIT passes in O/Level subjects which must include:
- Mathematics
- English Language,
- Physics
- Geography, and
- Any other related science subjects obtained within the last five (5) years in NOT more than two sittings.
2) UTME Subject Combination:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Geography
- Physics
B: Marine Engineering and Electrical/Electronic Engineering
1) O/Level Subjects
Applicants must possess Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or its equivalent with at least FIVE CREDIT passes in O/Level subjects which must include:
– Mathematics
– English Language,
– Physics,
– Chemistry, and
– any other related science subjects obtained within the last five (5) years in NOT more than two sittings.
2) UTME Subject Combination:
o English Language
o Mathematics
o Chemistry
o Physics
C: Maritime Transport and Business Studies
1) O/Level Subjects:
Applicants Must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or its equivalent with at least FIVE (5) CREDIT passes in O/Level subjects which must include:
– Mathematics,
– English Language,
– Economics, and
Any two (2) of Geography, Commerce, Government, Financial Accounting, Marketing, or Business Management, obtained within the last five (5) years in NOT more than two (2) sittings.
2) UTME Subject Combination:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Economics
- Geography/Commerce/Government/Principle of Account/Marketing.
4.Olevel Result
Only the O/level result submitted on CAPs will be us for the screening exercise. Thus, all Candidates are advised to upload their O/Level Result on CAPs before 30th September 2024.
5 PHYSICAL AND MEDICAL FITNESS
A.Physical Fitness. Due to the peculiar requirements of the institution and the maritime industry as well as the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) as amended which mandates all seafarers to be physically and mentally fit to work in the maritime industry, all applicants are expected to be physically and mentally fit to be able to withstand the rigours/challenges of the cadetship training. Consequently, shortlisted candidates will be required to present themselves for physical and medical fitness screening when invited.
B.Medical Form. The candidate should print out the Medical Examination Form (Form M) from the application portal. This form should be duly completed and signed before uploading on the portal.
C. Medical Test. Candidates will be subjected to the following MEDICAL TEST when invited for the admission screening exercise at the Academy:
1. PCV
2. VDRL
3. HBV
4. HIV1/2
5. FASTING BLOOD SUGAR (FBS)
6. PT (Pregnancy Test for Females)
7. URINALYSIS
8. GENOTYPE
9. BLOOD GROUP
10. DRUG
Marital Status:
- Applicants must be single and shall remain single throughout the duration of the programme.
Age Limit for Each Programme
- Candidates applying for Nautical Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Marine Engineering must be between the ages of 16 and 21 as at 31st October 2024.
- Candidates applying for Maritime Transport and Business Studies must be between the ages of 16 and 25 as at the time of commencement of the programme.

Step 2 – Carefully read the registration and payment guidelines before commencing the registration.
Step 3 – Login with your Username (Jamb Registration Number) for ND Applicants eg 33333333MA
Step 4 – Your Password is your Jamb Score eg 390.
Step 5 – Complete the registration and submit.

Application portal opens on 5th August 2024 and closes on 30th September 2024.
