The Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria, which used to be known as the Nigerian Civil Aviation Training Center) currently offers very wide ranges of aviation courses that best fits the Nigerian Aviation industry. The College was set up to perform the following:

  1. Conduct and organize Civil Aviation courses for use in flight training or airport operations & management as may be prescribed from time to time.
  2. To training of approve qualified students in the field of installation, maintenance and operation, as the case may be, of technical equipment, the use of which is calculated or likely to increase the margin of operational safety of civil aircraft.
  3. To train students on the necessary equipment and required facilities for technical research or normal use.

NCAT courses are strictly professional as well as technical hence the need for what is required to gain admission into this college. I will not only provide you with the list of all NCAT courses ranging from Flying School courses, Aeronautical Telecommunications Engineering Courses, Aircraft Management Engineering Courses, Aviation Management Courses and Air Traffic and Communication Courses, but also, the admission entry requirements for whoever is interested.

Commercial Pilot Licence Course Applicants should possess a valid Private Pilot Licence (PPL). The minimum age of an applicant to commence the course is 17 years.  Applicants for the above course should be in possession of a valid class 1 medical certificate at the start of the course. 6 Months
Multi-Engine Rating The minimum age of an applicant to commence the course is 16 years.  Applicants for the above course should be in possession of a valid class II medical certificate at the start of the course 1 Month

Instrument Renewal (Simulator) The minimum age of an applicant to commence the course is 16 years.  Applicants for the above course should be in possession of a valid class II medical certificate at the start of the course. 2  days
Standard Flight Operation Course O’level Credit Pass Including English Language, Mathematics & Physics. Minimum Entry age – 21 years. 25 Weeks
Standard Flight Operation Refresher Course All you need is a Flight Dispatch Certificate. 2 Weeks
Dispatcher Currency The minimum age of an applicant to commence the course is 16 years.  Applicants for the above course should be in possession of a valid class II medical certificate at the start of the course 1 Week
Cabin Crew Initial Training O’level credit Pass including English Aircraft Language & Mathematics & Minimum Entry age -18 years 10 Weeks
Cabin Crew Conversion Course You simply need a Cabin Crew Lisence. 3 Weeks
Cabin Crew Recurrent/Re-qualification The minimum age of an applicant to commence the course is 16 years.  Applicants for the above course should be in possession of a valid class II medical certificate at the start of the course 10 Days
Multi Crew Coordination (MCC) Candidates must hold or have held a Commercial Pilot’s Licence (CPL), Instrument Rating (IR) and have completed the ATPL. 7 Days
Jet Orientation Course (JOC) Prerequisites:

  • CPL license, IR/ME and Frozen ATPL
  • Certificate of Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC) Course completion
