This is to inform all candidates who wish to change their institution and courses for one reason or the other that JAMB change of course and institution for 2025/2026 academic session has begun. You can go through the information provided below.
JAMB board has directed that all candidates who wish to change their course or institution to proceed to the board’s site and follow the procedure as displayed.
JAMB Change of Institution And Course Form 2025/2026: How To Change Your Course And Institution Online
The process is currently ongoing and costs two thousand five hundred Naira (N2,500) only and can only be processed online, just like every other process of the board.
All candidates who wish to effect changes on either their course institution or their bio-data can proceed to do so at the closest JAMB CBT accredited centres, we have a well written post strictly on how to change your institution and course through JAMB CBT centres in Lagos and Nigeria as a whole.
You can also correct your Bio-data which include your name, date of birth, gender, State and Local Government of origin.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Firstly, make sure of the Course/Institution you would like to make changes. Verify if the course is available in the school you intend changing your institution to.
Secondly, Ensure verify that the school you are changing to does not usually have a cut off mark higher than your score.
Thirdly, candidates are to select a Course/Institution that is in line with your subject combination to avoid being screened out during your school’s admission screening exercise.
Steps On How To Change Your Institution And Course
The following steps as seen below are to be taken in the process of changing your course or institution at any of the accredited CBT centres in Nigeria.
Step 1: Log into your JAMB profile
Step 2: open the menu tab on your jamb profile
Step 3: Click Register, under register a drop box will appear showing UTME correction of data
Step 4: Click it and follow the steps to pay either online or bank. You can make your payment online via JAMB portal. If you are having difficulties doing that, you can pay to the bank.
Step 5: After paying N2,500 at the bank plus additional bank charge of One hundred naira (N100)
Step 6: Proceed to either the closest JAMB office or a JAMB accredited centre to complete the process. An additional fee will be charged for the service.
Note: You can carry out all of the above process at an JAMB accredited centre nationwide without necessarily having to visit JAMB office.
Important Note
- Candidates can have the option of changing one or all your courses/institutions at the same time.
– Once the form is submitted, you can no longer make any changes again except for change of course and institution that can be done twice.
-There may be a limited number of schools or courses you can change to, so be sure to have 3 or 4 options, just in case the one you want to change to is not available.
- The cost for the change of course and Data correction is N2,500.
- You can use the one time payment of N2,500 to change your institution, course, name, date of birth, State and Local Government of origin.

Nowadays schools rarely give you admission into another course you didn’t select. You are expected to personally change your course through JAMB and submit, if your UTME score is high enough for your new course, then of course you will be given admission.

If your name is already on the admission list first batch, you can’t go ahead and change your course. Except you wanna transfer to another department and this will be in 200 Level.

Nursing at UI with 223 is quite difficult because it is UI. They have a very high standard though you could give it a try nevertheless

It all depends on the school. Most universities put their cut off mark at 180 while polytechnics fix theirs at 150 and some 120 or 100
