Following the resolution by the school authority, the FUTA JAMB cut off mark for 2023/2024 academic session has been fixed. Prospective students should note that there is no static cut off mark for all courses but to be eligible for admission into Federal University of Technology Akure, prospective students must beat the general cut off mark as seen below.
Nevertheless, prospective candidates with JAMB score not less than (One hundred and eighty) 180 is eligible to apply for admission into any other course in the same university but must go through the usual JAMB process. Read JAMB change of course or institution to know how to change your course or institution for those who scored below 180 in their UTME score.
Due to the high influx of students applying to study in the Federal University of Technology Akure, the admission processes is competitive and an admission is given based on JAMB score and O level grades.
Still on FUTA’s JAMB cut off mark for 2023/2024 session, please be informed that passing the approved JAMB cut off mark and post UTME screening exercise is not enough, candidates must meet the required cut off point for the course being applied for before admission can be given. You may want to find out how you can know if you meet FUTA cut off mark for your course? All that is needed from you is to calculate your aggregate score or aggregate cut off mark which is a combination of your FUTA JAMB score and post UTME score after you must have divided your JAMB score by 8 and post UTME by 2 and summing up both (JAMB and Post UTME) together. Candidates should note that the benefits of scoring up to the minimum FUTA JAMB cut off mark is that candidates are given the opportunity to sit for the post UTME and upon beating the departmental cut off mark, are given the opportunity to study into any of the courses offered in FUTA upon successfully completing his or her physical internal screening of documents by the relevant faculties and offices in the school.
Documents required for Internal screening in after scoring above the required cut off mark for FUTA are;
- Printed Post-UTME Screening Form
- Birth Certificate/Declaration of age
- Internet copy of O’level results (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB/NBAIS)
- Printed copy JAMB Result Slip
- Local Government Indigene/Citizen/Residence Certificate
- Recent colored passport photographs (Not less than 16 copies)
Like we would always inform candidates, scoring above FUTA cut off mark for all courses for 2023/2024 does not in any way guarantee you an automatic admission into the University, until a successful internal screening exercise (physical verification of original documents) is carried out on candidates before candidate is fully admitted into the institution.

FUTA Admission Requirements
For any candidate to be eligible for admission into FUTA, candidates must have a minimum of five ‘O’ Level credit passes at a maximum of two sittings, which must include: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or any other science related subjects, beat their cut off mark which is 180 out of 400.
Candidates MUST meet the minimum UTME scores for their chosen courses; have the right UTME subject combinations as directed by JAMB and also, meet the requirements for admission as seen above for a candidate to be eligible for admission
