Yes there is an age limit for admission into the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun. Ideally you are supposed to be up to 18 years and above to before you can be admitted into any higher institution in Nigeria but times have changed. If you are 16 years and above, you can gain admission into FUPRE. However some departments would require you are up to 17 years of age at least. In FUPRE if you are 16 years and above can purchase their post UTME forms and participate in the screening exercise.
FUPRE Cut Off Mark
If you do not meet up FUPRE’s minimum cut off mark please DO NOT bother purchasing their post UTME form because your application will not be accepted and your money is as good as being wasted because FUPRE do not refund screening application forms fee. FUPRE Post-UTME Eligibility Requirements
a) JAMB Cut Off Mark: Candidates must score at least 180 and above in the 2020 UTME and must have selected Federal University of Petroleum, Effurun (FUPRE) as their first choice of Institution in their 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination registration exercise.
b) Candidates who did not choose Federal University of Petroleum, Effurun (FUPRE) as their first choice institution, but wish to study in the institution are ELIGIBLE to apply for Post UTME on the grounds that such candidate(s) must have successfully completed a change of Institution and course to FUPRE on the JAMB Portal before the closing date.
c) Second (2nd) choice candidates are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply for the form.
d) Candidates with AWAITING RESULTS despite choosing FUPRE as their 1st choice of institution during the 2020 UTME registration or changed their institution and course to FUPRE are also NOT ELIGIBLE to apply for FUPRE post UTME form.
e) O’Level Requirements: Both UTME and DE candidates applying for Federal University of Petroleum, Effurun are expected to have obtained a minimum of five (5) credit passes in Mathematics, English language, and three (3) other subjects relevant to your course of study that was registered in your UTME.
f) DE Requirements: Direct entry candidates must have relevant A-level passes in relevant fields in addition to purchasing the FUPRE direct entry form.
How To Apply For FUPRE Post UTME Form Online
STEP 1: Candidates are to pay a non-refundable fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000) only as Screening fee.
STEP 2: Applicants should visit www.fupre.edu.ng from Monday, 1st July, 2019 to Sunday, 21st July, 2019 to do their registration.
– Click on the link “2020/2021 Post-UTME Admission Screening Application”.
– Follow the registration instructions on the website.
STEP 3: Candidates should scan and upload their recent coloured Passport size Photograph (taken on red background) of not more than 50KB in JPEG format in the space provided on the on-line registration form.
STEP 4: Any entry form without a passport photograph as (described in 1. above) uploaded on it, will not be accepted. The uploaded Passport Photograph will be the only valid I.D for all admitted candidates throughout their studentship in the University.
STEP 5: Ensure that the on-line forms are carefully filled, following ALL necessary instructions, as purported Mistake(s) may lead to disqualification. Note also that deliberate disregard of instructions or failure to comply with the instructions may disqualify a candidate.
STEP 6: Ensure that you use a password that you can remember to enable you access your result and confirm your admission status subsequently.
STEP 7: Kindly use functional e-mail addresses and Mobile Phone Numbers to enable the University contact you in the course of the Admission Exercise, whenever the need arises.
STEP 8: Preview your online completed form and confirm that all information are correct. Thereafter, click the ‘SUBMIT’ button and print your confirmation page. Corrections are not allowed after submission.
FUPRE Post-UTME Screening Date: Monday 29th July, 2019 To Saturday 3rd August, 2019. Check Your Registration Confirmation Print Out For Your Time And It Is Computer Based Test (CBT).
All candidates are required to bring along the following items to the screening venue:
i) Remita printout indicating payment of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000) only as Screening Fee.
i) A copy of their on-line registration form printed in colour and three (3) photocopies
ii) Three (3) copies of JAMB UTME notification of results
iii) Four (4) coloured passport size photographs (red background) with their names at the back of the passport. The passport photograph must be the same with the one used for the online registration as photo ID.
iv) HB pencils and other writing materials
The following items will not be allowed into the exam hall.
i). Candidates are not allowed to bring cell phones or any other electronic gadgets into the screening venue. Only JAMB calculators (or non-scientific calculators) are allowed.
ii). Any UTME candidate who fails to produce himself/herself for the screening exercise will NOT be considered for admission.

Please note that this slip is a very important document that must be carried along when going for your screening test at FUPRE. Any candidate that fails to carry this document automatically won’t be allowed into the exam hall.
Closing Date For Submission of FUPRE Post UTME/DE Form
The closing date for submission of all post UTME and DE forms will be communicated to us by the management in due time. There are no fixed dates, the meeting by the management of FUPRE shall determine the most suitable date for the closing date.
