Yes there is an age limit for admission into the Ebonyi State University. Ideally you are supposed to be up to 18 years and above to before you can be admitted into any higher institution in Nigeria but times have changed. If you are 16 years and above, you can gain admission into EBSU. However some departments would require you are up to 17 years of age at least. In EBSU if you are 16 years and above can purchase their post UTME forms and participate in the screening exercise.
EBSU Cut Off Mark

How To Apply For EBSU Post UTME Screening Form
a) JAMB Cut Off Mark: Candidates must score a minimum of 160 and above in the 2020 UTME and must have selected Ebonyi state university (EBSU) as their first or 2nd choice of Institution in their 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination registration exercise.
b) Candidates who did not choose EBSU as their first choice institution, but wish to study in the institution are ELIGIBLE to apply for Ebonyi state university (EBSU) Post UTME on the grounds that such candidate(s) must have successfully completed a change of Institution and course to EBSU on the JAMB Portal before the closing date.
c) O’Level Requirements: Candidate must have obtained at least five (5) credit passes at GCE O/L, SSCE, NECO, or their equivalent. The subjects must include English Language, and Mathematics (for courses for which a credit in mathematics is required) as well as three other relevant subjects (four if excluding mathematics); at not more than two sittings.
EBSU Post UTME Screening Exercise Details (JAMB CAPS)
Since EBSU post UTME application and screening exercise will be carried out via JAMB CAPS, the following must be noted.
i) The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has approved that 1st choice Admission Exercise would be conducted from 21st August to 16th November, 2020 while 2nd choice admission will be conducted from 17th November, 2020 to 15th February, 2020.
ii) Credit passes in O’level Mathematics and English Language respectively shall continue to form part of the mandatory general entry requirements for the 2020/2021 admission/registration into all EBSU regular undergraduate programmes.
iii) EBSU will not write Post UTME Examination in 2020/2021 admission exercise.
iv) Admission/Registration of candidates into undergraduate programmes of Faculty of Law and Medicine/Anatomy respectively shall continue to be based on possession of all relevant O’level entry requirements at one sitting.
iv) There shall be no consideration for admission/registration of all candidates (successful pre-degree graduands inclusive) into undergraduate programmes without evidence of:
v) The NUC approved admission carrying capacity for EBSU remains 5,117 for 2020/2021 academic session
vi) Candidates applying with Awaiting Result shall not be considered for admission this session For avoidance of doubt, no candidate who fails to present ready qualifying statement of result or certificate as evidence of fulfillment of prescribed entry requirements for admission through UTME or Direct Entry (D/E) shall be recommended/selected, admitted or registered provisionally.
vii) Furthermore, as regards supplementary admission, no successful pre-degree graduate without a minimum UTME score of 170 shall be considered for admission.
viii) Candidate with an average score of less than each of the Faculty’s cut-off marks as in three(3) below, shall be NOT be considered for admission.
ix) Pre-Degree graduates or candidates who that put EBSU as first or second choice of institution shall be considered for admission, candidates who selected EBSU as 3rd choice shall not be given consideration this academic session except JAMB gives the permission.
x) Direct Entry admission shall continue to take 10% of EBSU total quota.
xi) Direct Entry admission seekers whose O’level result are not screened online may not be considered for admission.
xii) A minimum of OND/OD Upper Credit shall continue to form basic criteria for Direct Entry admission into EBSU programmes.
