Ambrose Alli University (AAU) in Ekpoma has rolled out a robust set of security protocols to bolster safety across its campus, effective from August 11, 2025. These measures, designed to address rising security concerns, introduce significant changes to vehicular and nighttime activities on campus, as announced by Otunba Mike Aladenika, the Principal Assistant Registrar and Head of Information and Public Relations.
Under the new guidelines, students are prohibited from driving personal vehicles onto campus premises. Instead, they are required to park their vehicles at designated off-campus locations and utilize shuttle services for transportation within the university.
Additionally, all vehicular movement on campus will be restricted after 8:00 pm, while pedestrian activity will be curtailed by 9:00 pm. To enforce these measures, AAU has strengthened its security framework by deploying additional personnel to ensure compliance and enhance vigilance.
Aladenika emphasized that these steps, though potentially inconvenient, are critical in response to prevailing security challenges. He urged students and staff to remain cooperative and vigilant, assuring them that the university is committed to their safety. The management is expected to release further directives to refine and reinforce these protocols in the coming weeks.
