ABSU Cut Off Mark For All Courses 2025/2026 Academic Session

Abia State University – ABSU Cut off mark for all courses offered in the institution for 2025/2026 academic session has been released by the management of the institution. This includes cut off mark for Medicine, Accounting, Law and Engineering courses and all other faculties as seen in the table below.

Abia State University, Uturu is a state owned universities established in 1981 under the administration of former governor of Imo state, Mr Sam Mbakwe. Since its inception, the university has produced powerful and notable dignitaries and leaders in Nigeria.

ABSU offers curriculum covers a wide range of courses ranging from undergraduate to postgraduate programmes. The university has two campuses,  with its main campus sited at Uturu, and the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine in Umuahia Campus.

Yearly thousands of Candidates apply for admission into ABSU, recently the management had to place a quota on the number of applicants because it exceeds the university capacity.

Just like other states and federal universities, admission into ABSU is based on the student’s ability to meet up the JAMB minimum cut off mark for the University and course.

The management of Abia State University, Uturu has approved the ABSU cut off mark for 2025/2026 academic session as 160 for all courses with an exception of Law, Engineering, Medicine which attracts higher cut off marks.

But be warned that not all students that pass the JAMB cut off mark for Abia state university are awarded an automatic admission. You must meet other admission requirements and pass the post UTME cut off mark for your course to stand a higher chance of gaining admission.

On how to calculate Abia State University cut off marks for 2025/2026, it is simple. Simply multiply by your post jamb score by your JAMB score and divide by two (2) in order to get your aggregate score.
