The management of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has released an important admission notice to all candidates offered admission into the University, particularly those whose admission details do not align with records on the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).
According to the notice, candidates admitted into programmes that differ from what is reflected on their JAMB CAPS profile are required to log in to JAMB CAPS immediately and effect the necessary change. This step is compulsory to ensure that their admission is properly validated and recognised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

In addition, candidates who have been admitted into FUTO but are unable to print their JAMB Admission Letter are advised to report promptly to the University’s Admissions Office for appropriate guidance and resolution of the issue.
The University emphasized that all required actions must be completed on or before Monday, 19 January 2026. Failure to regularise admission details within the stipulated deadline may jeopardise candidates’ admission status.
All affected candidates are therefore urged to act without delay and ensure full compliance to avoid complications in their admission and registration processes.
