Due to a lot of students asking us about the latest cutoff marks for different Polytechnics in Nigeria we have decided to compile a comprehensive list of all the Polytechnics in Nigeria and their cut off marks for 2025/2026 session to take care of this problem once and for all.
A well defined table containing the full list of all polytechnics we have in Nigeria and their respective cut off marks.
In our previous post, where we provided the top 10 polytechnics in Nigeria and their school fees, we have also deemed it necessary to publish the latest cutoff marks of all the Polytechnics in Nigeria as required by the Joint Admission And Matriculation Board For 2025/2026 academic session.
This is to help students to easily access their chances of getting admission into both federal and state polytechnics as there has been lots of confusion in the cutoff marks for various institutions this year from JAMB. We hope this list will help you make a better decision in your institution of study.
We have taken every effort to ensure the accuracy and completeness of this list, however, if you noticed that your institution is not on this list please do well to let us know through the comments section and we will update it immediately.
We’ll start this list with all the state polytechnics in Nigeria and then conclude it with the federal polytechnics.

The cut off mark required by the Gateway Polytechnic from all candidates seeking admission into the institution is 100 and above.
Rufus Giwa Polytechnic
Candidates must have achieved a minimum score of at least 100 in their UTME examination to be considered for admission into the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic.
The Polytechnic, Ibadan
The cut off point for the Polytechnic Ibadan is a minimum of 100 in the UTME examination.
Institute of Management and Technology Enugu (IMT)

The JAMB cutoff mark required by YABATECH from all candidates seeking admission into the institution is 150 and above for National Diploma (ND) and 200 for UNN.
A cognitive study of the above cutoff marks shows that all Polytechnics in Nigeria have their cutoff marks at 100 minimum and above as directed by the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board.

You should be talking about the academic session. With your 2020 UTME result you can still gain admission into any school still admitting for 2025/2026 even in the year 2021

It’s a polytechnic that could accept that score. JAMB directed that all Polytechnics set their cut off marks not below 100. There are colleges of Education among the list too.
