The management of Joseph Sarwaun Tarka University Makurdi has announced the post UTME screening exam dates for 2025/2026 session for candidates that applied for JOSTUM post UTME admission form. However, the requirements for participating in the screening exercise has been announced.
Candidate’s admission into JOSTUM via UTME must have made the University as either their 1st choice of institution and must have scored at least 150 and above in the 2025/2026 UTME. Please note that candidates that made JOSTUM their second choice of institution shall be considered for the screening exercise.
This info also applies to Direct Entry candidates and those seeking admission into JOSTUM through a change of institution.
Eligibility Requirements
- Joseph Sarwaun Tarka University Makurdi will admit only candidates who passed at credit level in at least five (5) relevant subjects at not more than two (2) sittings in SSCE/NECO/NABTEB for UTME.
- UTME candidates to be eligible for the exercise, they must have scored at least 150 and above in the 2025/2026 UTME.
SCREENING REQUIREMENTS:
You are expected to come along with the following to the Screening venue:
- Original and photocopies of your documents
- 4 Passport photographs
- Certificate of indigeneship/Citizenship from your Local Government Area.
- Photocard
JOSTUM Post UTME/DE Screening Schedule Time Table
The venue time and date for JOSTUM post UTME screening CBT for all prospective candidates who have registered for the post UTME been scheduled to begin as follows:
Date: Monday 4th – Friday 22nd August 2025.
Venue: College of Veterinary Auditorium South Core
Time: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM Daily
MATERIALS REQUIRED FOR POST-UTME SCREENING
- A clear copy of the Photo Card printed online.
- JAMB Result slip print out
- O’Level result (WAEC, NECO and NABTEB etc)
- Print out of O’level result sheet for DE candidates (WAEC, NECO and NABTEB etc)
- Both UTME and DE candidates are to upload their O’level results (WAEC, NECO and NABTEB etc) on JAMB CAPS.
- You are to go alone with (WAEC, NECO and NABTEB etc scratch card for verification of your O’level results. (Purchase of scratch card at the post UTME/DE venue is highly prohibited)
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Candidates who selected Joseph Sarwaun Tarka University Makurdi as Second Choice must first change it to First Choice on the JAMB portal before registering.
- Use valid personal GSM numbers and email addresses for the registration.
- Report to the designated screening venue at the time shown on your Photo Card or risk disqualification.
- Parents, guardians, and uninvited security agents will not be allowed into the campus during the screening days.
Information on Date, Time and Venue will be communicated via a photo card to each candidate through the University Admission Portal. Candidates are requested to print the photo card and bring along to the venue of the screening
NB: All Applicants must be at the screening venue at least 1 hour before the exercise commences.

The school is yet to release their post UTME form. The post will be updated as soon as UAM gives us a go ahead.
