This is to inform all fresh and returning students of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University that the management of the institution has announced ATBU resumption date for fresh and returning students. The University Senate at its Second Semester Examination meeting held, considered the Academic Calendar and approved the resumption of undergraduate students as follows:
According to the management, returning students are to first then freshers would resume 4 days after the resumption of returning students. This would give fresh students the needed time to bond with each other and register with ease knowing-fully that they (fresh students) are still new to the system.
The academic activities for the 2025/2026 academic session has been designed to run for a period of 4 months approximately. All academic and non academic activities have been scheduled to take place within the 4 months period.
ATBU RESUMPTION DATE FOR FRESH AND RETURNING STUDENTS
This is a reminder to all University students that the Second Semester 2025/2026 academic session will resume on Friday, May 3, 2024. Registration for the semester will open on Friday, May 3, 2024.
Students who paid half of their school fees at the start of the 2025/2026 session must pay the remaining balance before being able to register for courses.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Payment of school fees and acceptance fee plus all compulsory registrations for fresh and returning students would kick off immediately upon resumption.
If there are adjustments in to ATBU resumption date for 2025/2026 academic session, the management will duly inform us and I shall make changes where necessary.
