The management and school authority of the university of Lagos, Akoko hereby inform all 300 level students of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) that application for hostel accommodation for the 1st Semester, 2025/2026 practicals and examinations will commence on Sunday, February 9, 2025, and close on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. The balloting exercise for hostel allocation will hold on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
Who Is Eligible To Apply?
300 level students who have completed course registration for 1st Semester, 2025/2026 academic session; are within the regular duration for their respective programmes; and have paid all approved dues (such as LAGMOBILE Fee among others) are eligible to apply for bed spaces.
Hostel Accommodation Application Guide
Eligible 300 Level students must apply, through their portals for hostel accommodation during the designated application window: Sunday, February 9 to Wednesday, February 12, 2025 .
Allocation Criteria:
After the application window closes, bed spaces will be allocated randomly via a balloting system amongst all eligible applicants.
•No Payment for Allocated Bed Spaces:
For the purpose of practical and examinations, ALLOCATION OF BED SPACE IS FREE. Any eligible 300 level student who is unable to get a bed space through the balloting exercise is allowed to stay with a friend in any hostel, in cooperation with the Hostel Management Team. Any challenge in this regard, should be reported to the Office of the Dean, Student Affairs.

All interested and eligible 300 LEVEL students are enjoined to note these guidelines, ensure they have done their course registration, and apply within the specified timeline.
PLEASE NOTE THAT: STUDENTS IN EL-KANNEMI HALL 2; GBAJABIAMILA; WOMEN SOCIETY; AND OTHER HOSTELS IN THIS CATEGORY AROUND CAMPUS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE BALLOTING EXERCISE.
PLEASE BE INFORMED THAT THE STUDENT AFFAIRS DIVISION HAS THE LIST OF STUDENTS LIVING IN THESE HOSTELS, AND ANY STUDENT WHO VIOLATES THIS DIRECTIVE WILL FACE THE STUDENTS’ DISCIPLINARY BOARD FOR SOCIAL MISCONDUCT.
