The University of Jos has secured approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to introduce eighteen new full-time undergraduate academic programmes, beginning in the 2025/2026 academic session. This development marks a major step forward in the University’s commitment to expanding its academic portfolio and meeting the growing demands of students and the society at large.
The approval comes after a successful Resource Verification exercise carried out by the NUC, during which the Commission evaluated the University’s capacity—both in terms of personnel and infrastructure—to support the launch of these new programmes. The outcome confirmed UNIJOS’s readiness to deliver high-quality education in the approved fields.
