The management of the University of Cross River wishes to notify all fresh and returning students of the institution that the senate of the university has made adjustments to the academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The revised UNICROSS academic calendar is designed to span approximately one year. All academic and non-academic activities have been meticulously scheduled within the approved timeframe, as directed by the university’s management.

The Senate of the University of Cross River convened an emergency meeting during which they ratified the adjusted academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic sessions as outlined below:
UNICROSS First Semester Academic Calendar for Fresh & Returning Students 2025/2026 Session
FIRST SEMESTER
- 27th November 2023: Resumption of new and returning students
- 6th December, 2023: ETTC Meeting & Approval of Lectures Timetable
- Monday, 6th January, 2024: Commencement of Lectures
- 18th December, 2023: Commencement of late registration
- 30th December, 2023: End of late registration
- 15th January, 2024: Commencement of Add & Drop
- 27th January, 2024: End of Add & Drop
- 15th April, 2024: First Semester Examination commences
- 11th May, 2024: First Semester Examination ends
SECOND SEMESTER
- Commencement of the Semester – 24th June, 2024
- ETTC Meeting & Approval of Timetable – 24th June, 2024
- Commencement and Ending of Lectures – 24th June, 2024 – 31 August, 2024
- Second Semester Examination – 2nd September, 2024 – 28th September, 2024
- Marking Period – 30th September, 2024 – 19th October, 2024
- External Examination/Moderation and Consideration of Results at Departmental, GST, College/Faculty and Senate Levels – 21 October, 2024 – 23rd November 2024
- Resumption Date for 2025/2026 Academic Session – The resumption Date for the 2025/2026 Academic Session is to be determined.
