From a reliable source, we heard the admission list is not out. However we shall be intimating you on the steps and procedures needed to be taken on how to check UNICAL admission list for 2025/2026 academic session upon its release by the management of the university.
UNICAL admission list checking procedure for 2025/2026 academic session is not different from method used in checking for last session. It is practically same method however, changes like the academic session and the batches in which the University of Calabar releases their admission list might be different. How To Check UNICAL Admission List 2025/2026 Session
STEP 1: To check your admission status, you will need to purchase an Admission Checker Pin here, for Two Thousand naira Only (N2,000.00), after payment a unique pin will be generated on the payment receipt.
With this PIN and your JAMB Registration Number:
STEP 2: Go to https://portal.unical.edu.ng
STEP 3: Provide your JAMB registration number and PIN in the field provided and click Check Now button
STEP 4: If you have been admitted you should be able to print your admission slip, pay acceptance fees and begin the online screening process.
CANDIDATES WHOSE NAMES APPEAR ON THIS LIST ARE PLEASE ADVISED TO PRINT OUT THE ADMISSION STATUS SLIP AND KEEP IT FOR SCREENING ONLINE AND AT THEIR VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS. THEY SHOULD PLEASE PROCEED TO PAY THEIR ACCEPTANCE FEE HERE
You can as well use JAMB CAPS to confirm your admission status.
STEP 1 – To confirm your admission status in UNICAL, visit the JAMB portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng
STEP 2 – Login to your JAMB profile details (your username and password).
STEP 3 – Find and click the Check Admission Status tab.
STEP 4 – Choose your Exam year and type in your registration number in the required column.
STEP 5 – Click on Check Admission Status to know if you have been admitted or click on ‘Access my CAPS‘ to gain entry into JAMB CAPS for your admission status.
PLEASE NOTE:
- The management of UNICAL further advises candidates whose names appear on this list to login to JAMB portal to either ACCEPT or REJECT their admission offers within 72 hours from the date of this publication, failure which the admission may lead to forfeiture of admission.
- As for candidates whose names DO NOT appear on this list have either ACCEPTED their offers or are YET-TO-BE admitted.
- Those YET-TO-BE admitted and whose scores fall within the approved cut-off mark with the required subject combination are advised to check the school portal regularly to know their admissions status as another list would be released soon.

I think you should be patient until Monday next week. UNICAL would need to update their own database from JAMB. If it does not change, then i would suggest you go to JAMB office. But be rest assured, it would be sorted out

Congratulations Joeseph. I dont think the letter is available yet. All you need to do now is payment of acceptance fee, then go for internal screening of your documents (Credentials)

If UNICAL offers you admission then automatically you are going to be offered in JAMB too. And yes you need to accept admission within 72hrs. You dont get an email notification, you will see it right on the screen after checking. Good luck

You need at least 265 and above to study Medicine though the higher your JAMB score, the higher your chances of studying Medicine.
If you didn’t participate in UNICAL post UTME, then forget it, you don’t have a chance here.
