The total number of people found in a given area at a specific time is referred to as the population or human population. A country’s population is significant because, among other things, it can stimulate the growth of towns (urbanization) and the associated benefits. It can also help to build a strong defense against external enemies.

According to the United Nations, the world’s population in 2011 hit the 7billion mark, in 2021 was at 8billion and going by the current pace it’s expected to grow to hit 8.5 billion in 2030, in 2050 it is expected to hit 9.7 billion and in 2100, the global population is expected to hit 10.9 billion people.
