Rivers State University makes it compulsory for candidates who passed their post UTME screening test and have their names on the RSU admission list to physically come immediately for clearance & registration exercise. This exercise requires the physical and online submission of original and photocopies documents for your clearance to be deemed complete in RSU.
In this post, I will be providing you with the steps and procedure, date and venue of the registration as well as all necessary documents required for your registration exercise at RSU.
In many instances, I’ve received questions from fresh students who newly gained admission into RSU and this has prompted me to help out with this article as many others will definitely be in need of such assistance.
Below are the various questions I have been receiving from newly admitted candidates like you. Yes I use the term newly admitted candidates because your provisional admission can still be revoked if you can’t provide all necessary documents as required by the Rivers State University.

| I’ve been given admission into RSU what is next? | The first thing is for you to pay the RSU acceptance fee then go for your registration. |

Having answered the above, now I will be guiding you through the needed documents and steps for your registration as a fresh student at RSU either via UTME or DE (Direct Entry).
Proceed to the University for screening. At the screening, you are expected to present the following documents:
- Copy of your O’ Level (and A’ Level as the case may be) result(s).
- A scratch card of the O’ Level examination(s) you have taken to enable the verification officer to verify the results online.
- A copy of the University admission letter.
- School credentials.
- Birth certificate.
- Certificate of origin.
RSU Freshers Registration Procedure and Guideline
Successful candidates who have been offered admission into any of the programmes of the University are expected to follow the steps below;
This guideline is for Fresh (100 Level or 200L Direct entry) candidates who were offered admission by the university.
Please follow the step-by-step guideline to register.
Step 1 – Log on to ecampus portal with your User ID and password
Step 2 – Pay acceptance fee with your inter switch enabled cards
Step 3 – Pay portal access fee (Payable once every new session)
Step 4 – Pay certification verification and medical test fee (New students only)
Step 5 – Pay applicable preliminary charges such as SUG fee, sport fee, department/faculty/association fee, TSHIP and professional development fee.
Step 6 – Pay School fees
Step 7 – Print receipts for all payments made
Step 8 – Proceed to bursary account unit or faculty finance office for verification and authentication for the receipts of payments made as well as registration.
