FUT Minna Registration and Documentation Process

Procedure for Registration

The registration process begins with verifying your admission status and setting up access to the university’s online systems. This ensures you can retrieve necessary documents and proceed with personalization of your student profile.

  1. Check Admission Status and Retrieve Student ID: Start by clicking on the “Check Admission Status and Registration Procedure” link on the university’s portal. This will allow you to confirm your admission and obtain your unique Student ID, which is crucial for all subsequent steps.
  2. Request a New Password: Navigate to the ePortal login page and select the “Request for New Password” link. Enter your Student ID and click the “Request for Password” button. A page will appear displaying the university-assigned email address created for you (e.g., [email protected]).
  3. Access Your University Email: To log into your email, visit the FUT Minna website at www.futminna.edu.ng and click on the email link in the top right corner. Alternatively, you can directly access it via www.gmail.com. Use your full university email address as the username and your JAMB registration number as the initial password. Upon first login, the system will prompt you to change this password—make sure to note it down securely.
  4. Retrieve ePortal Password from Email: Once logged into your email, check the inbox for the ePortal password sent by the university. If it’s not in the inbox, inspect the Spam folder. This password is required to access the ePortal.
  5. Log into the ePortal: Return to the ePortal URL (eportal.futminna.edu.ng). Enter your Student ID and the newly retrieved password, then click the “Login” button.
  6. Update Personal Records: Your ePortal dashboard will display your student records. Click on the “Admission” link to download your official admission letter. You will also be prompted to update your personal details and upload a passport photograph along with your signature. Ensure all uploads meet the specified format and size requirements to avoid delays.

This registration phase sets the foundation for your student account, enabling further interactions with university services.Online Clearance ProcedureFollowing successful registration, the online clearance is the next critical step. It involves verifying academic credentials and facilitates payment of fees, ensuring you’re fully cleared for the session.

  1. Initiate Clearance: Log into the ePortal if you’re not already signed in. On the right side of your dashboard, click the “Student Data” link, then select “Academic Records.”
  2. Enter O’Level Details and Upload Documents: Click “Add Academic Record” to input your O’Level results in detail. Upload all required supporting documents, such as certificates or transcripts, as specified.
  3. Submit for Review: Once all information is entered and documents uploaded, click the “Submit Now” button. Your submission will be queued for review by a clearance officer. This process may take up to 24 hours, depending on the volume of pending requests, so plan accordingly.
  4. Proceed to Payment After Clearance: Upon approval, you can move forward to pay the registration fee through the portal. If the payment is successful, the system will automatically generate a payment receipt, which serves as proof of completion.

This clearance ensures that your academic qualifications align with university standards, paving the way for full enrollment and access to classes.

Completing the 2025/2026 registration and documentation at FUT Minna is a straightforward yet vital process that requires attention to detail and timely action.

By following these steps—from retrieving your Student ID and setting up email access to submitting O’Level details and making payments—students can avoid unnecessary delays and start the academic year on a strong footing. Remember to keep all passwords and receipts secure, and reach out to university support if you encounter issues. Welcome to FUT Minna—may your time here be productive and fulfilling!
