The management of Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE), is inviting applications from suitably qualified members of the public to apply for their 2025/2026 academic session pre-degree programmes admission. The cost of the form is FifteenThousand Naira (N15,000). The application requirements and guide has been provided below for fresh and returning applicants.
The procedure in applying for FUPRE pre-degree form has all been laid down for all candidates below, please read carefully and apply as and when due.
FUPRE Pre-Degree Admission Requirements
The 2025/2026 Admission into the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, sub-degree program is out!
PREAMBLE:
The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE) is the first petroleum university in Africa and sixth in the world. The Institution is located at Ugbomro, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State. We offer highly sought-after courses that adequately equip graduates to provide services to the Oil & gas and allied sectors.
We invite application from qualified candidates for admission into the FUPRE School of Sub degree Programmes. We offer pre-degree (basic) and foundation (JUPEB) programmes.
PREDEGREE/BASIC PROGRAMME
The basic Programme shall run for one Academic Session beginning from September 2025 to August, 2026. It is an intensive programme to prepare candidates for admission through JAMB into the 100-level degree programmes offered by the University.
CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION TO 200 LEVEL:
The course allocated will be determined by the level of performance.
Students will sit for JUPEB Examination at the end of the course and will be able to transit to 200 Level into any of the JUPEB Affiliated Universities both in Nigeria and Abroad.
(a) Successful candidates that will be enrolled in the degree programmes at the 200 level must purchase the Direct Entry JAMB form.
(b) On admission, if any student voluntarily withdraws from the Programme, request for refund of school fee will NOT be entertained.

FUPRE Pre-Degree Admission Form Application Guide
Applicants are required to make the payment of Fifteen Thousand Naira only (N15,000.00). only, non-refundable fee.
STEP 1 – You can make payment either at the bank or using your ATM Card online.
STEP 2 – Carefully fill all the required fields, submit and print out your confirmation page
STEP 3 – Login and monitor your application status by loging into your profile.

DATE FOR THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION:
An entrance examination for admission into the Programme will hold on Friday, 13th September 2025 by 9:00 am at the FUPRE ICT building.
COMMENCEMENT OF LECTURE:
LECTURES START IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE ADMISSION EXERCISE.
