Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has formally announced a change in the date of its 2025/2026 matriculation ceremony. According to an official notice released to members of the University community, the matriculation earlier scheduled for Tuesday, 16 December 2025 has been postponed to Thursday, 15 January 2026. The time for the ceremony remains unchanged.
The University described the announcement as both an official notification and an invitation, urging staff and newly admitted students to take note of the revised date and attend the ceremony according to their assigned batch.

Updated Matriculation Details
The rescheduled matriculation ceremony will now hold under the following arrangements:

Venue: Amphitheatre, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife

Mode: Physical ceremony, conducted in three (3) batches
While the date has been adjusted, the duration and structure of the ceremony remain the same.

To ensure smooth coordination, the ceremony will be held in three batches, with Faculties grouped accordingly for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Batch A (10.00 a.m. – 11.30 a.m.)

Each batch has a clearly defined time slot, and students are expected to attend strictly within the period allocated to their respective Faculties.
