The Management of Benue State University, Makurdi, wishes to notify all Principal Officers, Deans, Directors, and Heads of Department that, following the passage of a law by the Benue State House of Assembly and its signing into law by His Excellency, Reverend Father Hyacinth Iormem Alia, Governor of Benue State and Visitor to the University, on December 30, 2024, the institution has been officially renamed Reverend Father Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi (MOAUM).
This renaming aligns with the policy decision of the Benue State Government and is now legally effective. The university remains committed to its mission of providing high-quality tertiary education under its new name.
Effective immediately, all official communications, documents, and correspondence must reflect the new name, Reverend Father Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi (MOAUM).
All Principal Officers, Deans, Directors, and Heads of Department are directed to ensure full compliance with this change.
