FUNAAB Kicks Off First Semester Examinations for 2024-2025, Assures Smooth Operations

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has officially begun its First Semester Examinations for the 2024-2025 Academic Session. University management has assured students and staff of a seamless and efficient process, highlighting extensive preparations across all faculties.

A Commitment to Excellence
During interviews at key examination venues, University officials shared their efforts in ensuring a conducive atmosphere for the exams. Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi, emphasized the institution’s dedication to academic success.

“We’ve invested in upgrading facilities, including lecture halls and Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres, to create an ideal environment. Additionally, examination rules and regulations have been widely disseminated to avoid confusion,” he noted.

The DVC revealed that the University had enhanced safety protocols, with ambulances stationed on campus for emergencies.

Tailored Support for Students
In an interaction, the Dean of the Student Affairs Unit, Prof. Festus Adeosun, outlined measures taken to support students. “We’ve extensively sensitized students on exam protocols, from dress codes to conduct. Special arrangements have also been made for those with specific needs, ensuring they have adequate support,” he said.

Efficient Scheduling
Prof. Pius Dada, Chairman of the Timetable and Examinations Committee (TIMTEC), elaborated on the streamlined schedule, stating that the timetable was released six weeks ahead for feedback. “Working with ICTREC, we ensured timely updates for students and staff,” Engr. Dada added.

Infrastructure Enhancements
Speaking from the 1,000-Seater Lecture Theatre, the Director of Works and Services, Engr. Funsho Ipadeola, praised Management’s efforts in upgrading infrastructure. “These improvements are vital for a conducive exam atmosphere,” he remarked.
