Amidst a palpable atmosphere of excitement and anticipation, the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Imo state has announced that it will be hosting its annual matriculation ceremony for newly admission students into the 2025/2026 academic session.
The management of the university warmly welcomes a new cohort of scholars into its esteemed fold. The event which will be held at the university Convocation Arena will be a celebration of academic promise and the official induction of fresh students into the university community.
The ceremony shall commence with an elegant procession, as academic staff, dignitaries, and the incoming students filed into the venue, accompanied by the resonant strains of the national anthem. Reverence filled the air during the invocation, underscoring the solemnity of the occasion and invoking blessings for the journey ahead.
Accordingly, the Ceremonials Committee, members of Senate, Deans of Schools, University Admissions Officer, Heads of Departments, Coordinators of Units, and other University functionaries that play critical roles in the success of matriculation exercises are enjoined to work assiduously towards the success of the event.
Distinguished guests and dignitaries will be introduced, highlighting the presence of notable figures from academia and beyond who graced the occasion with their presence.
The Vice-Chancellor has approved that the 42nd matriculation ceremony of the University be held on Friday, July 19, 2025 at the Convocation Arena.
