Bayero University Kano has announced the 38th convocation ceremony and degree award for graduands of the 2025/2026 academic session.
The management also wishes to inform all graduands of the 38th convocation that payment of charges are to be made through the Remita platform.
Visit: www.buk.edu.ng/convocation/ to generate your RRR. The payment will commence on Wednesday, 25th January, 2024.
Cost of BUK Convocation Gown 2025/2026 Academic Session
Undergraduate — N14,000
Affiliated Colleges —- N16,000
Postgraduate Diplomas— N23,000
Masters & Ph.Ds—- N30,000
Note: Masters and Ph.D graduands that are interested to the Academic Gowns, are to make separate payments for the gowns as follows:
Masters —- N30,000
Ph.D—– N40,000
How To Obtain BUK Convocation Gown 2025/2026 Session
Academic gowns are to be collected at the directorate of Examinations, Admissions and Records (DEAR) upon presentation of evidence of payment with ID card for identification.
Th convocation ceremony is expected to take place as scheduled below:
Date; 27th February – 2nd March 2024
Time; 9.00 am Daily
Venue; Convocation Arena, BUK Newsite, Gwarzo road.

Day 1: 27th February, 2024
Faculties of Agriculture, Arts, Islamic Studies, Health and Environmental Sciences, Education, Law and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Day 2: 28th February, 2024
Faculties of Allied and Health Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Computing, Dentistry and school of continuing education.
Day 3: 29th February, 2024
Faculties of Basic Medical Sciences, Communication, Engineering, Life Sciences, Management, physical and Social Sciences.
RETURN OF ACADEMIC GOWNS
The Academic gowns should be returned to the Directorate of Examinations, Admissions and Records (DEAR) before 3.00pm on the same day of the convocation. The Book of proceedings will be issued upon return of the Academic gowns.
Failure to return the gown by 3.00pm on the day of the convocation would attract a fine of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000) only.
COLLECTION OF CERTIFICATE
Certificates are to be issued at the Abubakar Rasheed Senate Building ground floor. Graduands are to present Book of Proceedings, a clearance from the Directorate of Examinations, Admission and records (DEAR) and original Statement of Result.
