DLI is the acronym for Distance Learning Institutes. This is a part-time weekend Programme offered by the University of Lagos (UNILAG). The purpose of UNILAG DLI is to provide high quality education for desired Nigerians, both local and international, employed and unemployed so long as certain requirements are met. The Programme is a good one and very flexible too and I will endorse it for anybody particularly the working class who still has a dream of pursuing his or her educational dreams.
The good thing is that no difference, no discrimination except the number of years spent which is usually a year or some months more than the full time degree. And the certificates are exactly the same, so be rest assured.

Application Guide For Unilag DLI (Distance Learning Institutes) Admission Form
Candidates must make available the following documents for upload during the application process:
- Testimonial (Primary or Secondary)
- Birth Certificate/Sworn Affidavit that predates the admissions advertisement
- ‘O’ Level Certificate/All other Qualifications
- NYSC Certificate/NYSC Exemption Certificate (for Direct Entry candidates)
- Marriage Certificate and Newspaper classification (Married female only)
Initially you must be at least 21 yrs. and above to apply for Unilag DLI, but the good news now is that 16 years of age
actually apply and gain admission, this move is to align with their mission and vision of providing high quality standard education to a larger populace both employed and unemployed.
Simply follow the steps below for the application procedure
Step 1: Visit the UNILAG Application Portal http://applications.unilag.edu.ng
Step 2: Click “Start a Fresh Application”
Step 3: Select Distance Learning Institute as application type, then supply your Surname, First Name, Middle Name, Mobile Number and Email Address.
Step 4: Click the pay now to pay online, the Application Fee of N17,500.00 (Seventeen Thousand, Five Hundred Naira) only, OR print the payment advice with Remita Number to make payment at any Commercial Bank.
Step 5: Return to the application portal after payment, click continue application, input your payment reference number and your surname in lowercase as password.
Step 6: Complete all required details and upload necessary documents.

GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS INTO UNILAG DLI
First and foremost, candidates seeking admission into UNIAG DLI must meet the minimum entry requirements of Five (5) Credits in WASSCE/SSCE/GCE/NABTEB/NECO O’Level or its equivalent, including English Language and Mathematics, taken at not more than two (2) sittings.
Secondly, candidate must be at least 18 years of age at the year of application
Thirdly, and any other equivalent qualifications approved by the University Senate.
1) 100 Level Accounting
In addition to the general entry requirements, the Five (5) Credits must be in relevant subjects (Accounting, Economics, and Commerce)
2) 200Level Accounting
In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:
The National Diploma (ND) in Accounting and other related fields with a minimum overall grade of Upper Credit.
The Higher National Diploma (HND) Lower Credit in Accounting and other related fields.
The Joint University Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) certificate with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.
GCE ‘A’ Level with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.
Recognized professional qualification AAT (ICAN).
3) 300 Level Accounting
In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:
The Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting and other related fields with a minimum overall grade of Upper Credit.
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of pass in a relevant discipline obtained from a recognized University.
Recognized professional qualifications, such as ACA, ACCA, ACMA.
4) 100Level Business Administration
Same as for Accounting Year One
5) 200 Level Business Administration
In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:
The National Diploma (ND) in Business Administration, Business Management, Insurance, Marketing and other related fields with a minimum overall grade of Upper Credit.
The Higher National Diploma (HND) Lower Credit in Business Administration, Business Management, Insurance, Marketing and other relevant discipline.
The Joint University Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) certificate with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.
GCE ‘A’ Level with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.
6) 300 Level Business Administration
In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:
The Higher National Diploma (HND) Business Administration, Business Management, Insurance, Marketing and other related fields with a minimum overall grade of Upper Credit.
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of pass in a relevant discipline obtained from a recognized University.

7) 100Level Economics
In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess Five (5) Credits in relevant subjects, including Economics.
8) 200 Level Economics
In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:
(i) The National Diploma (ND) in Banking and Finance, Insurance, Statistics, Mathematics/ Computer and Actuarial Science and other related fields with a minimum overall grade of Upper Credit.
(ii) The Higher National Diploma (HND) Lower Credit in Banking and Finance, Insurance, Statistics, Mathematics/ Computer, Actuarial Science and other related fields.
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of pass in a relevant discipline obtained from a recognized University.
The Joint University Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) certificate with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.
GCE ‘A’ Level with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.
Recognized professional qualifications, such as ACIS, ACIB.
9) 100 Level Public Administration
In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess Five (5) Credits in relevant subjects, including Government.
10) 200 Level Public Administration
In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:
The National Diploma (ND) in Public Administration, Secretarial Administration and other related fields with a minimum overall grade of Upper Credit.
The Higher National Diploma (HND) Lower Credit in Public Administration, Secretarial Administration and other related fields
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of pass in a relevant discipline obtained from a recognized University.
The Joint University Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) certificate with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.
GCE ‘A’ Level with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.
Recognized professional qualification, such as ACIS, ACIB.
11) 100 Level Education Biology
In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:
SSCE/WASSCE/GCE (Ordinary level), NABTEB, NECO or equivalent with Credits in Five (5) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and any other subjects;
Teacher’s Grade II Certificate with at least Merit in Five (5) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and any other science subjects.
Any other equivalent qualifications approved by the University Senate.
12) 200 Level Education Biology
In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:
The National Certificate of Education (NCE) with minimum of Three (3) Merit grades in relevant teaching subjects.
The National Diploma (ND) in relevant fields with a minimum of Upper Credit.
The Joint University Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) certificate with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.
GCE ‘A’ Level with at least Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.
300 Level Education Biology
In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess the Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of pass in a relevant discipline obtained from a recognized University.
13) 100 Level Education Chemistry
In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:
SSCE/WASSC/GCE (Ordinary level), NABTEB, NECO or its equivalent with Credits in Five (5) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and any other subjects;
Teacher’s Grade II Certificate with at least Merit in Five (5) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and any other subjects.
Any other equivalent qualifications approved by the University Senate.
14) 200Level Education Chemistry
In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:
The National Certificate of Education (NCE) with minimum of Three (3) Merit grades in relevant teaching subjects.
The National Diploma (ND) in a relevant field with a minimum of Upper Credit.

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

Year Two Education Physics
In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:
The National Certificate of Education (NCE) with minimum of Three (3) Merit grades in relevant teaching subjects.
The National Diploma (ND) in relevant fields with a minimum of Upper Credit.
The Joint University Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) certificate with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.

17) 300 Level Education Physics
In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of pass in a relevant discipline obtained from a recognized University.
18) 100 Level Education Mathematics
In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:
SSCE/WASSC/General Certificate of Education (Ordinary level), NABTEB, NECO or its equivalent with Credits in Five (5) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other relevant subjects;
Teacher’s Grade II Certificate with Merit in Five (5) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other relevant subjects.
Any other equivalent qualifications approved by the University Senate.
19) 200 Level Education Mathematics
In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

Yes you can. To study accounting at UNILAG you need Mathematics English Langue and Economics then two other subjects like govt or biology or any other course but not yoruba or igbo language. And all must be at least Credit pass

Unilag would not give you admission with a lower credit in economics except you have a very strong connection that can push for you.

Based the subjects listed, i can tell you were in commercial class. To study any management course, you need economics. So as it stands you cannot study any management course or related course until you pass economics with a minimum of C6 therefore you are not eligible for any course under your field.
