Entry Requirements

• Candidates who chose Federal University of Technology, Owerri as First Choice University in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are hereby invited to apply for an aptitude test, provided such candidates scored a minimum of 150 in the 2025 UTME. 
• Those who did not choose FUTO as First Choice University but scored a minimum of 150 in their UTME can also apply on the condition that they visit the JAMB website for a change of Institution.
• UTME candidates must have scored a minimum of 150 in their UTME;
• Direct Entry candidates must be holders of OND/HND/First Degree and A’Level in relevant disciplines and subjects.

Application Guide for FUTO Post UTME/DE Admission Form

To apply for FUTO post UTME screening exercise, you are advised to follow the following steps;

STEP 1: To apply, follow the steps outlined below:

STEP 2: Visit the University website: futo.edu.ng

STEP 3: Click on Prospective students.

STEP 4: Click on the link; “2025/2026 POST-UTME Application”.

STEP 5: Enter your JAMB Registration Number to generate Payment Invoice containing the Remita Retrieval Reference Number (RRR).

STEP 6: Proceed to any Bank with the payment invoice OR simply pay with your ATM Card.

STEP 7: Return to the Application page and enter your JAMB Registration number again.

STEP 8: Proceed with the completion of the form.

STEP 9: Correctly enter your O’Level results.

STEP 10: Confirm your entries.

STEP 11: Submit your application.

STEP 12: Print out your acknowledgement slip.

Finally, you are to then wait for further communication from the management of FUTO.

All eligible candidates are required to pay a processing fee of N2,000.00.

Important Note:

1. You must enter a valid mobile number and e-mail address for further communications.
2. You must upload your O’Level results on JAMB PORTAL which would be used for the 2025/2026 Admissions Exercise.
3. Those who fail to choose FUTO as their first choice University WILL NOT be qualified for the Aptitude Test.
4. Any candidate who fails to successfully submit his/her application online would automatically lose his/her chance of being considered for admission.
5. FOR DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES: In addition to 1 – 4 above;
6. Kindly ensure that your academic transcript reaches the Registrar, Federal University of Technology, Owerri on/before the closing date.
7. Any candidate who fails to submit his/her academic transcript would not be considered for Admission.
