UI Hostel Accommodation Fee for Fresh & Returning Students 2025/2026 Session – Application Guide

UI hostel accommodation fee for both fresh and returning student is now available for most especially fresh and final year students. The management of University of Ibadan gives priority to both 100 level and final year students before students in 200 level, 300 level or 400 level as the case may be, will be considered. This is because it helps freshers to settle in easily and plan for a new phase of life, easy access to fellow new students, materials, tutorials and lecture halls and this is based on first come first serve basis. The University of Ibadan hostel accommodation for students is conducive for students. Though UI hostel accommodation fee varies from hostel to hostel. I will list the hostel fees below so it is up to you to decide if you are going to be interested in making use of the school hostel or renting a room outside the UI campus. Please note that hostel accommodation in UI is not compulsory. However, it is advised that fresh students especially stay within the school campus at least in their first year.

Please note that UI school fees, Acceptance fee and hostel accommodation fee are compulsory fee every new student are to pay upon gaining admission, though hostel accommodation fee is not a compulsory fee but an important one for freshers aside from the fact it cost benefits implications, the benefits as listed above should be taken into consideration.

UI HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION FEE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

Below is the hostel accommodation fee for all hostels in UI. The hostel accommodation is for both fresh and returning students for 2025/2026 academic session.

NOTE: 

1. Freshers – New Students = N60,000
2. Returning Students UI only = N45,000
3. Returning Students – ABH Occupants = N60,000

Payers Name must be the name of student not relatives

Kindly ensure to select the right NAME OF SERVICE/PURPOSE (Number 5) and also select the right amount as it applicable to you as payment into wrong fee item will not be refunded.

HOW TO APPLY FOR UI ACCOMMODATION FEE 2025/2026 SESSION

Step 1 – Logon to https://student-portal.ui.edu.ng

Step 2 – Enter your username and password

Step 3 – Select My Profile menu on your dashboard to view your Hall of Residence

Step 4 – Click on Fees menu, then Click My Fees and Select Hall Fee

Step 5 – Proceed to Payment

Step 6 – When the transaction is completed,

Step 7 – Click on Fees

Step 8 – Click Transactions and

Step 9 – Click view to download or print your receipt

UI Accommodation Fee Payment Deadline

This is to notify all fresh and returning students that the Payment closing date is Saturday, April 5, 2025.

NOTE:

Students that require space in any of the reserved halls should submit their payment slip to student affairs.

Bed space allocation will be on ‘FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS’ as hostel accommodation is limited.
