The Nigerian Law school fees for fresh students 2025/2026 academic session has been released by the management of the law school
This information is for fresh students who after acquiring their first degree in Law (LLB) in any of the recognized institutions in Nigeria and aspire to major in any of the other branches.
The table below is a detailed schedule of Nigerian Law school fees students.
The fees payable at Nigerian Law school as seen in the table below includes Law school tuition fee, hostel accommodation fee, development fee, E-book and all other compulsory fees that makes up the total fee payable by every new student as mandated by the management of Nigerian Law school Nationwide.
Also note that all the law schools in Nigeria are mandated t pay equal fee irrespective of their location. That is, the law school in Lagos and Abuja pays the same as the law school in Calabar and the other.

When filling your application into NLS (Nigerian Law School), some basic requirements are expected of every applicants;
Aside being able to pay the current Nigerian Law school fees for Bar part I and II 2025/2026 session, applicants are to also note the following;
NYSC is not a requirements for admission into Nigerian Law school, it is optional as applicants who are not financially viable can skip law school for the year and apply whenever they are financially or academically fit to. See below for some of the requirements during application.
A) Your degree (LLB from any recognized university or polytechnic in Nigeria)
B) Your academic transcript (showing your complete details as usual)
Kindly be aware that the Nigerian Law school fees is to be paid in lump-sum, as payment in installments are not allowed.

Firstly, your school will have to be recognized by the Council of Legal Studies in Nigeria. Then the other requirements are same with candidates that schooled in Nigeria

When I made enquiries in 1997, the University of London External Law degree programme was not accepted as a qualifying Law Degree. Is that still the case?
If so, does it mean a person who used that degree to attend Law School in England, practice as a solicitor in England and Wales for more than 10 years, will have to do another law degree to be eligible for NLS?

I graduated from a private university which is affiliated to the university of BUEA that’s the National polytechnic university institute Bamenda. I wish to ask if it’s possible for me to gain admission to the law school and when will the Law school resume for the academy year 2025/2026.
To be accepted into the Bar 1 program of the Nigerian Law School as an international student (Bar 1 is compulsory for all foreign degree holders), the candidate must have a ‘Qualifying Degree Certificate’ this means a Degree in Law or a Mixed Degree in Law of a University in a Common-Law Country whose course of study is approved by the Council of legal studies.

There are no special arrangements actually. However you may request for, and at their discretion, you just might be granted.

At least a pass in mathematics is fine. You don’t necessarily have to pass maths since it isn’t a requirement for law.

Good day sir, please I will like to know how much it will cost for a Nigerian who studied law outside Nigeria to enroll in NLS. Also, when is the form for Bar part 1 coming out for 2025/2026. And importantly if one studies law outside the country, and is enrolling for NLS, will the tuition be different from what you have posted above?
NLS school fees for international students is same as tuition fee for local or better put Nigerian students. The only difference is the requirements for Foreign students.

Yes there are requirements for international students otherwise known as foreign students. One of the major requirements is for you to have your NYSC certificate.
