The management ad school authority of Enugu State University of Science and Technology – ESUT has released the JAMB Cut-Off Mark For All Courses offered in 2025/2026 academic session. This is to inform all candidates who registered ESUT (Enugu State University of Science and Technology) as their preferred choice of higher institution during the UTME registration can confirm if they meet the current ESUT Cut-off mark for 2025/2026 academic session.
Candidates who score up to the required minimum cut off mark would then proceed for internal screening exercise by the University, thereby are advised to carry all documents along including passport photographs. (16 copies preferably).
Candidates should note that one of the benefits of scoring up to and above the required ESUT cut off mark is the fact that candidates are given the opportunity to gain admission to study into any of the courses offered in ESUT so long as the candidates get a good score in the internal screening exercise.
Still on ESUT’s JAMB cut off mark for 2025/2026 academic session, please be informed that passing the approved JAMB cut off mark and post UTME screening exercise is not enough, candidates must meet the required cut off point for the course being applied for before admission can be given. You may want to find out how you can know if you meet ESUT cut off mark for your course? The action required from you is to calculate your aggregate score or aggregate cut off mark which is a combination of your JAMB score and post UTME score after you must have divided your JAMB score by 8 and post UTME by 2 and summing up both (JAMB and Post UTME) together. Documents required for Internal screening in ESUT (Enugu State University of Technology) are;
a) Firstly, you must score the minimum required ESUT JAMB cut off mark as seen in the table below.
b) Candidate must have a minimum of 5 credits in Mathematics and English and other relevant subjects as it relates to their proposed course of study.
c) You must go along with original and photocopy of your JAMB result slip
d) Original documents which includes ‘O’ level certificates please note that awaiting results are not accepted by Enugu State University of Technology.
e) Original copy of your birth certificate and secondary school Testimonial
f) Lastly, at least eight (8) most recent passport photographs would be ideal

Just a quick reminder to all candidates that would be sitting for ESUT post UTME, scoring above the minim ESUT JAMB cut off Mark and passing the post UTME does not in any way guarantee you an automatic admission into the University.
Other factors like the quota system and the likes would determine if the student gains admission or not.
Usually, until a successful internal screening exercise carried out on all candidates. If candidate(s) is successful in the internal screening exercise then they are automatically granted admission to study the course of their choice. So the higher your JAMB and post UTME score, the better your chance of gaining admission into Enugu state university.

Something most students don’t understand is the difference between minimum cut off mark by the school and the unofficial departmental cut off mark for the course. The school would say candidates with at least 200 or 180 or 140 as the case may be are eligible for post UTME screening exercise, this is because legally the school gives equal opportunity to every candidate who scores above the minimum cut off mark, that does not mean you will be admitted for the course except you score up to the departmental cut off mark of that course.
It is also a means of generating funds for the school. If they put too many restrictions, many students won’t be able to apply which simply means lesser revenues for the schools.
The score 260 and above is what can guarantee you admission to study Pharmacy if you pass your post UTME screening test. I hope this is well understood.
